PANASONIC PLASMA TVs - CONFIGURATION BACK-UP PROCESS




Please note that I've not tried this and i'm passing this information to you,  I've got these details from the service manual to Panasonic Plasma TV


  • Place properly formatted blank SD card into PCs SD slot.
  • Right-Click an open area in the SD card's file manager window, hover your mouse over "New" in the context menu.  Select the Text document from the fly-out menu.  A new blank text document will be created with the default name 'New Text Document.txt"
  • Rename the new text document 'boardreplace.pwd'.  This should be the one and only file on the SD card.
  • Insert SD card with this file into TVs SD card slot.
  • TV will automatically open an on-screen display for procedure.
  • When prompted, enter the password [2770], using the remote control.
  • The TVs configuration data will be copied to SD card.
  • At the completion of the procedure, turn OFF the TV and remove SD card. 
  • Store the SD card in a safe place.
#  If backup is ever required, can restore backup to the TV by inserting the same SD card back into TV.  When prompted for password, here enter [2771] to initiate a restore
