VTEK VP421A01 VP421B SERVICE MODE - FIRMWARE UPGRADE METHOD - PLASMA DISPLAY

TO ENTER SERVICE MODE
  • Press [Brightness > Freeze > Menu] [OR]
  • Press [Menu > select (UP)] keys in sequence by the remote control.
  1. Use 'Enter' key to return to original factory setting values.
FIRMWARE UPGRADE PROCESS
  1. Connect the RS-232 cable to the D-sub 9 pin (COM Port) of the set PC module and computer's common-1 port.
  2. Execute the program of flash upgrade [VTEK]
  3. Choose 'Yes' to next screen.
  4. Choose 'Yes' again to the next screen.
  5. Choose "VTEK.inf" and choose "Flash"
  6. Do not press 'Cancel'.  At this time should shut down the 'Power' of the PDP Set, (Main Switch), and power ON again.  The program will download the firmware automatically.
  7. After the file is uploaded, panel will automatically reboot itself.  When blue-screen appears, the process is all finished.
[Make sure the firmware is the customers' version.  Do not power OFF during download, especially is the BootCode file. If can't download any more change to an other PC module.]
