EXAMPLES OF TV LCD PANEL FAILURES THAT CAN BE REPAIRED

1 - Double or wavy image

2 - Vertical line, lines, or colored / non-colored polylines (bars) covering a certain area:

The important thing with this type of failure is that the lines or bars completely cover the screen from top to bottom. If the line or bar does not fill the screen, it cannot be repaired.

3 - Horizontal line or lines:

If there is a COF (chip-on-film - integrated film strip) on the right or left of the defective panel, this fault can be repaired. If there is no ear, the dead line is repaired by combining it with a solid line by laser intervention, but if the number of lines is high, it may not be repaired.

4 - T-con induced panel failure examples:

The screen showing negative (color inversion) or the test bars on the screen is caused by neither panel nor tcon.

5 - Repairable failure examples caused by panel lighting:

Panel illumination is the cause of some of the screen being dark, the screen turning blue, or one area of the screen being brighter than other areas.
