HYLUX PARKING CONTROL SENSOR MODULE REPAIR – Error codes E3, E4 RoHS Module Board PR-B62-04
How
to repair the parking sensor module printed circuit board has the following RoHS code
PR-B62-04 192507
Installed this parking sensor on Hilux (with metal bumper) on dealer and ; now the LCD
display had the following errors when driving in reverse: "
"E3" and
"E4".
These two sensors 3 and 4 stopped working.
Original Module
Problematic signal transformers
Opened the
module and did some tests and found that the signal transformers (variable
inductors with two windings) sensors 3 and 4 were in problem, as
they open winding at (pins 4-6). See the picture below. Searched the internet for
this signal transformer marked "UP 04" and found nothing.
There is no information or any other details about this device can be fount by internet.
Inductor Pinout
Decided to
look for a similar module. The module has a label “P/N: PR-2332". Searched the internet and found some original
modules from other GM vehicles with the same "P/N: 2332" and with
the same pin configuration. Purchased one of these
used GM modules and de-soldered out the two signal transformers, and replaced them at the original module.
The
purchased module cannot be used here because of the firmware are different.
GM module
The purchased GM module, the LCD display shows nothing and only beeping according to the
distance from the obstacle.

this tip here for anyone who has problems with the vehicle's parking module.
