Entering into service mode
Set the unit to ‘standby’ mode.
Press [DISPLAY]à[5]à[VOL]à[POWER].
This sequence puts the unit into service mode.
The screen now shows

In this display, [00] is item number, [RGB] is the item name, [SERVIVE] shows service mode, [0000 & 1000] are binary data, 50 shows PAL, SECAM and 60 for NTSC.
Service mode adjustments.
  1. Put the TV into service mode
  2. Press [1] (up) and [4] (Down), to select an item for adjustment.
  3. Press [3](Up) and [6](Down), to raise or lower the value of the selected item.
  4. Press “Muting’ button, and it will indicate, “Write” on the screen.
  5. Press [0] button to write the adjusted new value into memory.
Service Mode Keys
[1] And [4]: Select adjustment mode.
[3] & [6]: Raise or lower the data value
[Muting] à Write.
[0] Execute the writing.
[7] & [0]:  All the data becomes the value in memory.
[8] & [0]:  All user control goes to standard state.
[5] & [0]:  Service data initialization [This function is used rarely]
[2] & [0]:  Write 50 Hz adjustment data to 60Hz and vice versa.
SERVICE MODE ADJUSTMENT; EXAMPLE.
  1. In the service mode, select  (08) V-Shift, with [1] & [4] buttons.
  2. Raise of lower the data using [3] or [6] buttons.
  3. Select the optimum state [default value for PAL reception is “0F”]
  4. Write with ‘Muting’ button. [The service display changes to “Write”
  5. Execute the writing with [0] button.  [The write display will change to ‘red’ color while executing and changes back to [SERVICE].
Use the same method to adjust all items.  Use [1] & [4] to select the adjustment item, use [3] & [6] to adjust the data value of the selected item, write it into memory using “Muting” button, and then execute the written data into memory with [0] button


ADJUSTMENT AFTER IC003 (MEMORY) REPLACEMENT
  1. Enter into service mode.
  2. Press [5],[0] buttons (Data Initialize), on remote handset.  Next press[2] and [0] (data copy) to initialize the data.
  3. Call each item number and check the respective screen shows the normal picture. In case where items are not well adjusted, rectify the item with fine adjustments. Write the data for each item number by pressing [Muting] & [0] buttons.
  4. Select numbers “2B”(OP0) and “2C”(OP1) for Mono, and “41” (OP0) and “42” (OP1) for stereo, and respectively set the bit per model with remote handset button [3] & [6].
  5. Press handset buttons [8] & [0] (Test Normal) to return to data that was set on the shipment from the factory. NB:  This will also cancel the service mode.
