These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.

DAEWOO DLX-20J1BHS _ LCD TV _ SOUTH AMERICA _ SOFTWARE INSTALL AND UPGRADE

SOFTWARE UPGRADE TOOL INSTALL

After insert the CD ROM, open the folder.

Install the WISP 3.3 [Double-click the WISP3.3.exe file.

Press 'next'.

Enter user name and company name.

Licence agreement.

Select the 'Complete'

Press 'Next' button.

Select 'Yes' to proceeding two screens.

Select 'OK' to proceeding two screens.

Select 'I want to restart my computer now'. Then press 'Finish'.

Open the SVC cover for upgrading.

Connect the correct cable for each software.

UOC upgrade.

Connect the correct cable wire in P201 for UOC upgrading. [Real wire connection is the right side of P201].
Connect jumper in P103
Start WISP

Select UOCIII NIF 256.
Set the delay line time 2ms.

IIC configuration setting.

Select 'Single master'
Select 100Kbits/sec
Select LPT 1.
Press OK.

Browse file.

Press 'Browse'
Select the target file.
Press 'Open'

Upgrade

Start “Auto Execute”
Finish.

Scaler(Sedna) upgrade

Connect the correct cable wire in P201 for Scaler upgrading. (Real wire connection is the Left side of P201)
Connect jumper in P103
Start ISP Tool
Find the “ISP_TOOL ” icon as below
