REPAIRING AND NOT THROWING AWAY

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

In Brief: On this site you will find pictures and technical information about Service Modes, Circuit Diagrams, Firmware Update procedure, Disassemble procedure, Universal remote control set-up codes, Troubleshooting and more....

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.

These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Happy repairing!
Today, the West is headed for the abyss. For the ultimate fate of our disposable society is for that society itself to be disposed of. And this will happen sooner, rather than later.

How to use the site:

- If you landed here via any Search Engine, you will get what you searched for and you can search more using the search this blog feature provided by Google. You can visit more posts scrolling the left blog archive of all posts of the month/year,
or you can click on the main photo-page to start from the main page. Doing so it starts from the most recent post to the older post simple clicking on the Older Post button on the bottom of each page after reading , post after post.

You can even visit all posts, time to time, when reaching the bottom end of each page and click on the Older Post button.

- If you arrived here at the main page via bookmark you can visit all the site scrolling the left blog archive of all posts of the month/year pointing were you want , or more simple You can even visit all blog posts, from newer to older, clicking at the end of each bottom page on the Older Post button.
So you can see all the blog/site content surfing all pages in it.

- The search this blog feature provided by Google is a real search engine. If you're pointing particular things it will search IT for you; or you can place a brand name in the search query at your choice and visit all results page by page. It's useful since the content of the site is very large.

Note that if you don't find what you searched for, try it after a period of time; the site is a never ending job !

TERUMO INFUSION PUMP MODEL STC-508 [MEDICAL ELECTRONICS]

TERUMO INFUSION PUMP MODEL STC-508 [Medical Electronics]

TERUMO INFUSION PUMP MODEL STC-508
Medical Electronics
Principle of Operation

This unit provides stable, accurate infusion by employing a peristaltic pump equipped with an anti-pulsation mechanism and driven by microcomputer controlled stepping motor.  The unit is provided with the following alarms to ensure safe Infusion.

Alarm name
Function
Alarm Output
Infusion complete
Infusion completes when volume delivered reaches or exceeds the delivery limit.  Subsequently, Infusion continues at the delivery rate of 1ml/h [keep-vein-0pen].  Infusion complete alarm is released automatically when volume delivered becomes less than the delivery limit.
Alarm indication flickers (1.6Hz).  Buzzer continues to sound.  External alarm relay one-shot output.
Start forgotten
When sop position continues for more than w minutes, alarm is output.  Only applicable when the setting of the main PCB DIP SW bit 5 is OFF.
Buzzer sounds intermittently [1.0Hz].  External alarm relay on-shoot output.
Low battery.
Low battery detection circuit detects circuit voltage.  When the voltage of the battery comes down to 9.4Volts or lower, alarm is output. [Switching over to self-diagnosis is mode, voltage A/D value is confirmed.  A/D value 108 or less] alarm judgment is made regardless of infusion operation.  [Alarm is output whether the motor is mot in motion]  Low battery alarm is automatically released when the voltage of the built-in battery is 9.9V or higher.  [A/D value 111 or larger] or line power is connected.  System power source is switched OFF, when the voltage of battery comes down to 8.8V [A/D value 101 or less] (Shut down)
Alarm indication flickers at 1.6Hz.  Buzzer sound intermittently [intervals of buzzing get shorter gradually from 0.5 second to 0.4 second, 0.3 second, 0.2 second, 0.1 second, with the lapse of every minute, thereafter changes to continuous buzzing.  Infusion continues.  External alarm relay one-shot output.  *For methods of switching over to self diagnosis mode and of confirming the voltage A/D value, please refer paragraph 4.2 regarding operation in practice.  Infusion stops.
Air-In-Time
When the Air-In-Time detector senses an air bubble (length inside tubing at least about 5mm) it outputs an alarm.  Alarm judgment is made regardless of infusion.  [Alarm is output whether the motor is not in motion]
Alarm indication flickers [w.6Hz].  Buzzer continues to sound, infusion stops.  External alarm relay one-shot output.
Occlusion
An occlusion detector detects expansion of the tubing, and outputs an alarm when tubing internal pressure reaches 0.5—1.0kg/cm2.  Alarm judgment is made regardless of infusion operation. [Alarm is output whether the motor is not in motion]
Alarm indication flickers [1.6Hz].  Buzzer continues to sound.  Infusion stops.  External alarm relay one-shot output.
Door Open
A door open detector senses whether the door is open or closed.  When the door is open, it output alarm.  Alarm Judgment is made regardless of infusion operation.  [Alarm is output whether the motor is not in motion]
Alarm indication flickers (1.6Hz).  Buzzer continues to sound.  Infusion stops.  External alarm relay one-shot output.
Main CPU Out of Control
When the main CPU goes out of control, the sub CPU detects it and outputs alarm.  Alarm judgment is made regardless of infusion operation [alarm is output whether the motor is not in motion].  To restore the system from out or control situation, switch OFF the source power and then switch ON again.  Main CPU out of control can be checked by self-diagnosis check mode [DIP Sw 8 bit ON]
(Air-In-Line), occlusion door open) Alarm indication lights ON.  ERR6. 7 are indicated.  Buzzer continues to sound.  Infusion stops.  External alarm relay continues to be output.  [One-shot output is not possible]
Sub CPU out of control
When the sub PCB goes out of control the main CPU detects the situation and outputs alarm.  Alarm judgment is made regardless of infusion operation.  [Alarm is output whether the motor is not in motion]  To restore the system from out of control situation to normal, switch OFF the line power and then switch On again.
Alarm indication undefined.  Buzzer continues to; infusion stops.  External alarm relay continues to be output (one-shot output is not possible).
