REPAIRING AND NOT THROWING AWAY

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

In Brief: On this site you will find pictures and technical information about Service Modes, Circuit Diagrams, Firmware Update procedure, Disassemble procedure, Universal remote control set-up codes, Troubleshooting and more....

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.

These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Happy repairing!
Today, the West is headed for the abyss. For the ultimate fate of our disposable society is for that society itself to be disposed of. And this will happen sooner, rather than later.

NetFlix streaming Problems
To play videos without buffering, Network Condition speed should be greater than 1.5Mbps…sustained.
For the best quality picture, a connection speed of 4.0Mbps is needed.
Your connection may be affected by other activity on your network, such as online gaming, file sharing or other video streaming.
You can test your bandwidth at one of these site:
http://www.speadeasy.net/speedtest/
WiFi or Powerline adapters can cause dropouts due to interference.
DLNA setup:
DLNA stands for Digital Living Network Alliance. It provides an easy way to share media on a network. DLNA requires a server and a player. Almost any operating system can run DLNA server software.
DLNA server software is included with LG devices that are DLNA certified players.
It is called Nero MediaHome Essentials. Other options include Windows 7, which has a built‐in DLNA server. Windows Media Player 11 also has a built‐in DLNA server.
DLNA Terminology
DLNA Digital Living Network Alliance. A media sharing device that uses standard computer networking protocols.
DMS Digital Media Server. Software or a device that can serve media files to other devices on a network.
DMP Digital Media Player. Software or a device that can play media files from a DLNA server (DLNA‐DMS).
DMC Digital Media Controller. This is a Digital Media Server that can also "push" files to compatible devices. The server software can instruct a compatible device which media files to play. Aka Play‐To.
DMR Digital Media Renderer. This is a device that can receive commands from a Digital Media Controller. DMC compatible server software can instruct a DMR which media files to play. A DMR also features the functionality of a Digital Media Player. Current LG devices do not support this.
MediaHome installation
1) After installing MediaHome, open the program.
2) When you run it for the first time, the wizard will start. Click either option on what folder to share.  It is recommended choosing folders manually.
3) Just choose a folder like MyMusic to add You can add more folders later.
4) Click the Start the media server now button to start the media server.
[Now your files are being shared. You can add more folders to share at this time. Close the control panel when done. The server will run automatically in the background every time you start Windows.]
MyMedia Operation
Once you have connected the TV to your home network, you can access any DLNA servers on the network. The TV requires no additional setup. Below is how to access the files on a DLNA server.
1) Press menu on the remote and choose My Media
2) For this example, choose Movie.
3) The TV will automatically search and list media servers.
4) Choose the DLNA server you wish to connect to.
NOTE: You may have to allow the TV access in the DLNA server's software menu.
5) Choose Album or All Video. Note that in this case "album" means
"collection"...It doesn't refer to a music album.
6) This will show a list of video files in the shared folder.
NOTE: If you press the up button and choose a photo or music folder you will notice none of your music or pictures show. This is because the TV is in Movie mode and will only show video files Press the green button on the remote to change to Photo mode and the photos in the folder will be displayed (like the picture below)
