These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.

Service Mode
How to enter into Service Mode
The way to the factory mode menu:
1 - press menu,
2 - input 8893
Finished these operations , system will be into the factory mode menu.
How to exit
IF want to exit this factory menu, press the botton ”Exit” in the remoter.
Version ,S/N, Panel Resolution

Version: The first line is the model Name and the second line is current software version




Video
Auto Color
The option could only be used in the VGA and Component model. When we found the color in the two models was abnormal. Then we can use the function to adjust it automatically.
Color Temperature
The function could adjust the Color Temperature., used when debugging.
Audio
Dolby Banner: When turn it “ON”, the model will be in Dolby authentication state.
Compression: Compression style. RF: atv line: AV/S-Video/YPbPr/VGA
Compression Factor: Compression state.
Down mix: output model. MTS System: used when debugging. The parameters only used when debugging, no need to be modified.
Channel
Range Scan: The function could make it to search the channels by differentiation the analog and digital channels.
Single RF Scan: Search channels in the frequency scope set in advance.
Factory Scan: According to ANTENNA-ANALOG > ANTENNA-DIGITAL > CABLEANALOG > CABLE- DIGITAL to search channels, used only in project debugging.
Tuner Diagnostic: Project debugging setting, used to inspect the audio function
Gamma
Bright: GAMMA0.8 Middle: default settings in the program Dark: GAMMA1.2
Back-light
Back-light: adjust the back-light.
Function Burning Mode
Turn it “ON” to enter the ageing model, This is for factory run-in testing. The screen would display red, green, blue and black screen repeatedly. Each color screen could be exam at that time.
Clean Storage:The function could make the model turn back to the factory default setting
Main Board & AV Board
Main Board: Process signal from exterior equipment and then translate into signal that panel can display.
Connector details
CNA1-Pin1: System power on / standby

System board will use this pin to control system power.
CN1-Pin2: Backlight on/off
The system can turn on or turn off the back-light of TFT LCD Panel through the power supply unit path.
CN1-Pin1: Control the luminance of back-light.
The system can generate the PWN signal to control the strength of TFT LCD Panel’s back-light through this connector
