REPAIRING AND NOT THROWING AWAY

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

In Brief: On this site you will find pictures and technical information about Service Modes, Circuit Diagrams, Firmware Update procedure, Disassemble procedure, Universal remote control set-up codes, Troubleshooting and more....

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.

These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Happy repairing!

TELEFUNKEN TF-LED32S12T2
General Repair Instructions for LCD LCD TVs
Possible manifestations of faults

- The TELEFUNKEN TF-LED32S12T2 television does not switch on. There is no sign of operability. The indicators on the front panel do not glow or flash, and the remote control and control buttons do not respond.
Most often, with such manifestations, the main power module HSS30D-1MB turns out to be defective. It is necessary to measure its secondary output voltages and, if they are not present, to check the correct operation of the power switches (7N65) of the converters and the rectifying diodes to detect a possible short circuit.
In the event of thermal failures or semiconductor avalanches in the secondary circuits of any converter, it can generally operate in emergency short-circuit mode without output voltages and during short-circuits in the elements of the primary circuit, the main fuse and, less often, the current sensor at the source of the key are most often cut
Mos-Fet keys used in switch mode power supplies generally fail due to a malfunction of other elements likely to put it out of service in key mode or to cause an excess of current or maximum voltage. This can be a power supply, damper circuits or OOS stabilization elements (negative reaction). The reason for the power switch failure may also be PWM (PWM) NCP1251A. It is checked only by replacement with a known product.

- There is no picture, there is sound, there is a reaction to the remote control. Or immediately after turning it on for a second, the image may appear and disappear immediately.
Often in such cases there is no LED backlight. This can be due to both the power supply of the LEDs, their operating state (failure or breakage) and the violation of the contact connections of the LED strips.
When diagnosing, it is necessary to take into account that it is impossible to control the opening in the circuit of the LED lines without dismantling the panels with a tester or a multimeter. To open all PN junctions connected in series, a voltage of the order of several tens of volts is required and, ideally, a current source. By opening the panel, each LED can be checked separately. Typically, Chinese multimeters will light a single 3-volt LED if you connect probes in the forward direction. In the case of two 6-volt LEDs, the PN junction of its emergency zener diode can be used as a health indicator. In the event of a malfunction of the LED, its Zener diode will either be cut or broken in short circuit.

- The front panel indicator flashes, the television does not switch on in operating mode, it does not respond to the remote control.
Repairing or diagnosing the JUC7.820.00084054 motherboard should start by checking the stabilizers and power converters needed to power the chips and matrix. If necessary, update or replace the software (software). When repairing an MB card, you must check its components U205 - 25Q64. Defective items must be replaced. If chips using BGA welding technology are used, an implementation problem is detected by local heating of the chip.
The DT21WN-2A-E tuner malfunction is established after checking the software and all supply voltages on its terminals. The data exchange from the tuner to the processor via the I2C bus can be controlled by an oscilloscope.
Attention TV owners! Self-repair attempts by TELEFUNKEN TF-LED32S12T2 are not recommended by the manufacturer and can lead to serious negative consequences!

Main characteristics of the TELEFUNKEN TF-LED32S12T2 device:
Installed matrix (LED panel) M320X12-E9-A (1).
To supply the LEDs for the backlight, a converter is used, associated with a power supply controlled by the OB3350 PWM controller. JCS3910R type keys are used as the power supply for the LED driver.
The supply voltages necessary for all the nodes of the TELEFUNKEN TF-LED32S12T2 television are formed by the HSS30D-1MB power module or its analogs using NCP1251A microcircuits and 7N65 type power switches.
MainBoard - the motherboard (motherboard) is a JUC7.820.00084054 module, using microcircuits U205 - 25Q64 and others.
The DT21WN-2A-E tuner provides television reception and channel tuning.
