Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

In Brief: On this site you will find pictures and technical information about Service Modes, Circuit Diagrams, Firmware Update procedure, Disassemble procedure, Universal remote control set-up codes, Troubleshooting and more....

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.

These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Happy repairing!

MAINTENANCE
Regular maintenance is important for optimal performance and to reduce wear. Inspect and properly tighten all parts each time the incline trainer is used. Regularly clean the incline trainer and keep the walking belt clean and dry. First, press the power switch into the off position and unplug the power cord. Wipe exterior parts of the incline trainer with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap.
IMPORTANT: Do not spray liquids directly onto the incline trainer. To avoid damage to the console, keep liquids away from the console. Then, thoroughly dry the incline trainer with a soft towel.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Most incline trainer problems can be solved by following the simple steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed.
SYMPTOM: The power does not turn on
a. Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet.Use only a surge suppressor that meets all of the specifications.
IMPORTANT: If the incline trainer is connected to an AFCI-equipped outlet and your circuit breaker trips repeatedly when the incline trainer is used, see the front cover of this manual to purchase an arc filter.
b. After the power cord has been plugged in, make sure that the key is inserted into the console.
c. Check the power switch located on the incline trainer frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes as shown, the switch has tripped. To reset the power switch, wait for five minutes and then press the switch back in.

SYMPTOM: The power turns off during use
a. Check the power switch (see drawing c at the left). If the switch has tripped, wait for five minutes and then press the switch back in.
b. Make sure that the power cord is plugged in. If the power cord is plugged in, unplug it, wait for five minutes, and then plug it back in.
c. Remove the key from the console, and then reinsert it.
SYMPTOM: The console displays remain lit when you remove the key from the console
a. The console features a display demo mode, designed to be used if the incline trainer is displayed in a store. If the screen remains lit when you remove the key, the demo mode is turned on.
SYMPTOM: The console does not display speed and distance correctly
a. Remove the key from the console and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Next, remove the indicated #8 x 3/4" Screw (5), and lift off the Left Foot Rail Cover (44).

Next, locate the Reed Switch (67) and the Magnet (45) on the left side of the Pulley (42). Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch. The gap between the Magnet and the Reed Switch must be about 1/8 in. (3 mm). If necessary, loosen the #8 x 3/4" Truss Head Screw (8), move the Reed Switch slightly, and then retighten the Truss Head Screw. Then, reattach the cover, and run the incline trainer for a few minutes to check for a correct speed reading.

SYMPTOM: The walking belt slows when walked on
a. Use only a surge suppressor that meets all of the specifications described on page 19.
b. If the walking belt is overtightened, incline trainer performance may decrease and the walking belt may become damaged. First, adjust the incline to 40 percent. Then, remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both idler roller screws counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 3 to 4 in. (8 to 10 cm) off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the incline trainer for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.
c. Your incline trainer features a walking belt coated with high-performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply silicone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform unless instructed to do so by an authorized service representative. Such substances may deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.
SYMPTOM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on
a. If the walking belt is off-center, first adjust the incline to 40 percent. Remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. If the walking belt has shifted to the left, use the hex key to turn the left idler roller screw clockwise 1/2 of a turn; if the
walking belt has shifted to the right, turn the left idler roller screw counterclockwise 1/2 of a turn. Be careful not to overtighten the walking belt. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the incline trainer for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is centered.
b. If the walking belt slips when walked on, first adjust the incline to 40 percent. Remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both idler roller screws clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 3 to 4 in. (8 to 10 cm) off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the incline trainer for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.
SYMPTOM: The iFit mode does not function correctly
a. If the iFit mode is not functioning correctly, make sure that the incline trainer has the most current firmware available.
SYMPTOM: The incline of the incline trainer does not change correctly
a. Calibrate the incline system.
SYMPTOM: The incline trainer will not connect to the wireless network
a. Make sure that the wireless settings on the console are correct.
b. Make sure that the settings for your wireless network are correct.
SYMPTOM: The incline trainer will not connect to your tablet
a. Make sure that the wireless settings on the console are correct.
b. Make sure that the settings for your wireless network are correct.
c. Make sure that the console and your tablet are connected to the same network.
SYMPTOM: The digital TV is not receiving a signal
a. Make sure that the correct input source is selected.
b. Make sure that the antenna cable or CATV cable is connected securely to the incline trainer.
c. Scan for broadcast or cable signals.
d. Due to an FCC requirement, analog signals are no longer broadcast over the air in the United States as of June 12, 2009. If you wish to view television signals through an antenna, you must have an antenna capable of receiving digital signals. Cable television has not been affected.
SYMPTOM: Digital TV reception is poor
a. Make sure that the digital TV settings are set correctly.
b. For the digital TV to operate properly, good reception is necessary. If you are using an antenna, make sure that it is properly connected and adjusted for optimal reception.
c. Check for the problems listed below and follow the applicable instructions:
# Ignition (black spots or horizontal streaks that appear or a picture that flutters or drifts)
Usually this is caused by interference from automobile ignition systems, neon lamps, electric drifts, or other electric appliances. Try changing the position of your fitness equipment or other electric appliances to correct the problem.
# Ghosts
Ghosts are caused by the TV signal following two paths one is the direct path and the other is reflected from tall buildings, hills, or other objects. Change the direction or position of the antenna to improve reception.
# Blue Screen
If your fitness equipment is located in the fringe area of a TV station where the signal is weak, the picture may be of poor quality or a blue screen may appear. If the signal is weak, it may be necessary to install an external antenna to improve the picture.
#Fading
If blocks of the picture are missing, the picture moves around the screen, or the picture disappears, the signal may be weak. Change the direction or position of the antenna to improve reception. Make sure the digital TV settings are set correctly.Do not use a splitter.
Note: If one of these problems appears when the cable from a CATV company is connected, the problem may be caused by the cable company broadcast.
SYMPTOM: The digital TV needs to be cleaned
a. UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. To clean the digital TV, wipe the digital TV and screen using a soft cloth with a small amount of soft detergent. Do not use a polishing cloth, solvent, or any type of propellant or chemical detergent such as alcohol or benzene.
Calibrate the incline system of the incline trainer.
Touch the Calibrate Incline button. Then, touch the Begin button to calibrate the incline system. The incline trainer will automatically rise to the maximum incline level, lower to the minimum incline level, and then return to the starting position. This will calibrate the incline system. Touch the Cancel button to return to the maintenance mode. When the incline system is calibrated, touch the Finish button.
IMPORTANT: Keep pets, feet, and other objects away from the incline trainer while the incline system is calibrating. In an emergency, pull the key from the console to stop the incline calibration.
