REPAIRING AND NOT THROWING AWAY

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

In Brief: On this site you will find pictures and technical information about Service Modes, Circuit Diagrams, Firmware Update procedure, Disassemble procedure, Universal remote control set-up codes, Troubleshooting and more....

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.

These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Happy repairing!

DISASSEMBLING PROCEDURE
How to remove Battery
Insert the plastic opening tool into the notch in the back case on the headphone jack side of the phone. Work your way around the entire phone to gently free the clips holding the back case to the phone’s unit.
Use the plastic opening tool to pry the battery up and out of its secured location in the phone. Remove the back case.
Now that both the SIM card and the microSD card are both easily accessible, remove them from the phone.
Next, locate and remove the six Phillips screws (#00) that secure the plastic frame to the front panel assembly.
Use the plastic opening tool to separate the rear portion of the plastic case from the front panel assembly. To separate these pieces, release the securing clips around the perimeter of the Samsung Galaxy S II with the spudger or plastic opening tool.
How to remove Speaker Assembly
The speaker assembly is secured to the rear portion of the case with a small amount of adhesive. Use the spudger to pry up and remove the speaker from the Epic 4G Touch.
In the next few steps, you will be disconnecting the securing plugs attached to the motherboard. Pry up and remove these connections with the spudger.
The first connection to be removed is the front facing camera.
Next, remove the connection for the display assembly.
Now, remove the connection for the display button assembly.

How to remove Headphone Jack & Vibrator Assembly
The last connection to be removed is the headphone jack and vibrator assembly.
The headphone jack and vibrator assembly is held in place with a small amount of adhesive. Use the pointed end of the spudger to get under the assembly and pry it up and out.
How to remove Front-Facing Camera
Locate and remove the one Phillips screw (#00) that secures the front-facing camera to the front panel assembly.
Next, locate and remove the two Phillips screws (#00) that secure the motherboard to the front panel assembly.
With all the connections and securing screws that hold the motherboard down removed, carefully detach the motherboard from the Epic 4G Touch. With the motherboard removed from the phone, the securing clip for the front-facing camera should be released and will allow you to remove the camera.
How to remove Rear-Facing Camera
Still attached to the motherboard is the rear-facing camera. The camera’s ribbon wire is secured with a locking socket that needs to be released before you can remove the rear-facing camera. Release this socket and remove the rear-facing camera from the Galaxy S II.
How to remove Display Assembly
The display assembly is secured to the phone’s frame with adhesive. Use the heat gun/blow drier to heat this adhesive. The heat will soften the adhesive in preparation for the separation of the display assembly and the frame.
To begin the separation of the display assembly and the frame, insert the screwdriver in the back of the display assembly through the hole for the front-facing camera. Push outward on the display assembly to make just enough room to fit the spudger in the gap.
Continue the separation with the spudger to peel the display assembly away from the frame. Use more heat on the adhesive around the frame if necessary.
How to remove Display Button Assembly
At the bottom of the display assembly is the button assembly that is adhered in place. Be mindful of this as you separate the display assembly from the frame. You do not want to cause damage to the button assembly.
With the spudger, peel the ends of the button assembly up from the back of the frame. Push the assembly through the frame’s slots to remove it.
