These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution.In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Software Upgrade
1.Upgrade from USB: Copy the upgrade file
JBL_Cinema_V00.XX.bin (
XX is the software version),
JBL_Cinema_MCU.bin(MCU software),
JBL_Cinema.txt (MCU MD5_File ) to USB root. 
Then insert USB ,start up DUT enter "setup" into SETTINGS screen ,select General Settings >>System>> system update >>USB Storage. 
When upgrade file detected, press "Enter" to upgrade.
Once you start upgrade,pls don’t power off the DUT,after upgrade DUT will restart up later a moment time or you press button “Enter” on remote control .
2. Check the version information after upgraded. 
Wake up DUT,press Enter to settings and the select system information. you will see a interface as below:
Software Version: BD100(or BD300) VXX.XX.XX
MAC:XX: XX: XX: XX: XX: XX
Factory Reset Steps 
Press "SETUP" button on remote control --->General Settings ---> System --> Restore defaults 
Select OK--->Press"ENTER" on remote controll.
Troubleshooting 
No display on VFD, and buttons do not work
Check every supply voltage on main board is normal.
Check Q207, Q208, Q209,U1,U2,U3,U1
Check the front board signals VSTB ,VCLK,VD, (XP13:pin8,9,10)
Check the VFD board whether bad solder exists on U135 and pins of VFD,
Check whether the circuit connected to K135,K136,,K138,K151, S608 are broken.
Replace U135 or VFD
No audio output
Check 32v(BD100 is 20V) voltage on AM P board is normal.
Check the signals of I2S (XP11 Pin 1,2,3,4,5,7)
Check U 801’s output(U801 pin4,8,12,) is right, check the signal of Valid (R774 )is high.
Check U7 is output is,C12,A12,B12,C11,D11,D12.
Check AMP IC U710/U711/U712 is right.
Replace U710/U711/U712
Can’t read disc or can’t open the disk door
Check 45pin and 8pin cable from main board connection to the loader is normal
Fix the connection the 45pin cable or 8pin cable.
Check if U11 (pin2) voltage is normal (about 9V)
Fix R946/R947 or check U11 (pin3) voltage is OK (about 12V)
Check R203/R205 are normal (the voltage between two resistance is 1.5V.
Fix or Replace R203/R205
No output by HDMI IN 1 or2
Check the connector of HDMI in J6 J7
Check the U5 have right output (pin2,3of U5 should output the TMDS clock)
Replace U5
Replace Main board.
