REPAIRING AND NOT THROWING AWAY

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

In Brief: On this site you will find pictures and technical information about Service Modes, Circuit Diagrams, Firmware Update procedure, Disassemble procedure, Universal remote control set-up codes, Troubleshooting and more....

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.

These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Happy repairing!
Today, the West is headed for the abyss. For the ultimate fate of our disposable society is for that society itself to be disposed of. And this will happen sooner, rather than later.

Locate the power button at the top of the phone. Depress power button for 2 seconds until a menu appears.
Once the menu appears, select the "power off" option. Wait until the phone is completely off.
Place thumb on the back cover, and push down towards the bottom of the device. Once the cover releases, pull it away from the phone and set it aside.
Find the yellow pull tab located in the upper left corner. Pull the tab until the battery dislodges.
Grab the battery by the raised edge, and remove it from the case.
The battery has been successfully removed.
Remove the micro SD card from its connector.
Locate the seam between the back case and the end cover on the top edge of the phone.
Use the plastic opening tool to detach the two clips by wedging the tool into the right side of the seam and moving right to left. Once the cover comes off set it aside
Repeat step on the bottom cover.
Use a T5 Torx screwdriver to remove the screws in each corner of the phone.
The screws are very small so make sure not to lose them.
Flip the phone over and locate the screw on the middle of the left side. Unscrew it using the T5 Torx screwdriver and set it aside.
Identify the screw located in the bottom right corner of the battery case. Remove the screw with a T5 (or in some cases T6) torx screwdriver and set it aside.
Locate the seam along the right edge of the phone. Use the prying tool to disconnect the two clips along the edge.
Locate the two clips on the inside of the case and use the spudger tool to detach them from the case. To detach each clip, use the sharp end to press the small, black plastic in the center of the clip.
After the clips are detached, remove the back case and set it aside.
Remove the screws along both sides of the motherboard using a T3 Torx screwdriver. On some phones this may require a #1 Phillips Screw Driver.
Carefully remove the white connecting wire from the motherboard using tweezers.
Use caution, this wire is delicate.
Scrape away the electrical tape that covers the LCD and digitizer cable using the spudger tool or a fingernail.
Use the spudger tool to pop the Digitizer cable off of the motherboard.
Carefully flip the small white connector up and away from the motherboard.
Gently pull the flat gold cable out from the connector.
Carefully lift the motherboard and camera module up. Do not remove it from the phone.

Open the small latch on the left side of the device by lifting gently with your finger, exposing the SIM card and microSD card slots.
If either of these cards are present, remove them to prevent damaging them while taking apart the phone. Our device does not have either.
Close the latch once the two cards are removed.
Remove the six 4mm T3 Torx screws. There are 3 on each side of the device.
Run the plastic opening tool under the bottom edge of the phone to detach the small plastic cover below the Verizon logo.
It will take some force to remove this piece. Work around the bottom corners to unlatch the two hooks holding the piece in place.
The small plastic hooks can break during removal. Be careful that you don't damage them, but it will take some force to get them undone.
Once the plastic cover is detached, pull the piece away with your fingers.
Remove the three T4 Torx screws. There are three at the bottom of the device.
Using the plastic opening tool, peel away the silver Motorola plate at the top of the phone. There is a fair amount of adhesive underneath, so you may have to pry it from a few different angles.
As soon as you can get your finger underneath, pull away the silver plate.
Remove the two 7mm T4 Torx screws at the top of the device.
When you detach the front from the back, don't pull the two pieces entirely apart. There is a flat orange wire that connects the two pieces that will be disconnected in the next step.
Snap apart the two internal clips located on the top corners of the device, and the two clips in the bottom corners.
Run the plastic opening tool around the edge of the entire device to pry apart the front of the phone from the back.
There is a small black plastic piece located at the bottom of the front assembly. Do not worry if the strip falls off; just simply snap it back on and proceed.
Like a clamshell, slowly open the device from the top. Open the remainder of the device slowly while being mindful of the flat orange wire that connects the motherboard to the front assembly.
Undo the snap connection in the lower left corner by inserting the plastic opening tool under the end of the orange wire connected to the motherboard. Lift gently.
Once the snap connection is undone, pull apart the front assembly from the rest of the phone.
Remove the six 4mm T5 Torx screws located along the outer edge of the motherboard.
Disconnect the snap connection in the lower left corner by prying underneath using the plastic opening tool.
Disconnect the snap connection in the upper left corner by prying underneath using the plastic opening tool.
As you undo the snap connection, pull the rear facing camera off completely. It will slide out of its slot in the motherboard.
Disconnect the snap connection in the upper right corner by prying underneath using the plastic opening tool.

Motorola Moto X:  DISASSEMBLING PROCEDURE
Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the smartphone and utilize a SIM card ejection tool, or paper clip, to release and remove the tray from the Moto X.
Next, near the dock connector on the bottom of the smartphone, insert the precision knife in the seam that separates the frame/front housing and rear cover. The seam is very tight so we used the precision knife instead of a plastic opening tool or spudger.
Once the first clip is released, you can continue around the perimeter of the Moto X with your plastic opening tool gently freeing the clips.
Before completely removing the rear cover you need to release the camera flash ribbon cable from its socket. Release the cable by lifting the side opposite the cable up 90 degrees. You can now remove the rear case from the Moto X (be sure to keep track of the power & volume buttons).
Next, locate and remove the eleven T5 torx screws that secure the upper & lower protective covers/housing to the motherboard (marked with orange circles).
How to remove Battery
First, remove the lower protective cover; it should release easily with the securing screws removed.
Next, remove the upper cover; it should release just as easily from the motherboard.
There are four connectors (marked with orange rectangles) that need to be released. The connector that rests upon the battery is a locking socket that needs to be disconnected before removing the ribbon cable. The other three connections can be pried up and released.
Now, slide the flat end of the spudger under the battery and carefully lift it up from the securing adhesive. You can now remove the battery from the Moto X.
How to remove Front-Facing Camera
The front-facing camera is housed in the upper corner of the Motorola smartphone. Use the fine tip curved tweezers to pry the connector up from the motherboard and remove the front-facing camera from the Moto X.
How to remove Earpiece Speaker
Use the fine tip curved tweezers to pry up the earpiece speaker from its securing adhesive and remove it from the smartphone.
Next, use the flat end of the spudger to carefully separate the display assembly from the motherboard.
There is a ribbon cable that needs to be released before you can completely remove the motherboard (marked with orange arrow).
How to remove Rear-Facing Camera
The rear-facing camera rests on the bottom side of the motherboard. Use the fine tip curved tweezers to release the locking socket and disconnect the ribbon cable, freeing the rear-facing camera for removal from the Moto X.
How to remove Power & Volume Button Flex Cable
The power and volume button flex cable is located on the back of the display assembly and frame of the Moto X. Use the fine tip curved tweezers to peel the ribbon cable from the securing adhesive. The use of a heat gun or blow dryer is encouraged to free and carefully remove the power and volume button flex cable.

Motorola Moto G

DISASSEMBLING PROCEDURE
Near the dock connector toward the bottom of the Moto G, insert the precision knife in the seam between the front housing/frame and rear case. This is a very tight seam so the use of the precision knife is advised as oppose to the plastic opening tool.
Once you have the first clip free, you can continue the separation with your plastic opening tool. Work your way around the entire smartphone, gently freeing the clips until the rear case is removed.
Next, locate and remove the fourteen T5 torx screws that secure the protective cover/rear housing to the front housing/frame (marked with orange circles). You can now remove the protective cover/rear housing from the Moto G (make sure to keep track of the power & volume buttons).
How to remove Battery
Use the nylon spudger to gently pry up and disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard. With the flat side of the spudger carefully get under the battery, lift it up from the securing adhesive and then remove it from the Moto G.
How to remove Front-Facing Camera
The front-facing camera should now be loose and easy to lift out of the Moto G with the fine tip curved tweezers.
Next, use the fine tip curved tweezers to lift the blue protective cover up and access the connection for the display assembly (LCD & touch screen).
Now, locate the locking socket for the display assembly ribbon cable. To release the cable, lift the opposite side of the locking socket 90 degrees. You can now disconnect the ribbon cable.
The ribbon cable for the display assembly is secured to the motherboard with adhesive. Utilize the heat gun to soften the adhesive, making it easier to pry up the cable from the motherboard.
Next, utilize the flat side of the nylon spudger to carefully remove the motherboard. Gently work the spudger between the motherboard and the display assembly/front housing to remove it from the Moto G.
How to remove Earpiece Speaker
The earpiece speaker is secured in its location with a small amount of adhesive. Use your fine tip curved tweezers to easily remove it from the Motorola smartphone.
How to remove LCD & Touch Screen Digitizer
At this time, the display assembly (LCD & touch screen) is fused together and cannot be separated. It is secured to the front housing/frame of the smartphone with a generous amount of adhesive that will require heat and patience to separate.
This procedure is only recommended on a Moto G with a damaged screen that requires replacement.
Use the heat gun to begin warming up the adhesive securing the LCD & touch screen digitizer assembly to the smartphone’s front housing/frame. To begin separation of the display assembly from the Moto G front housing/frame, securely grip the sides of the smartphone and slip the precision knife under the display assembly.
Now, utilizing the plastic opening tool continue around the entire perimeter of the Moto G until the display assembly is completely separated.
