General repair guidelines for TV LCD LED
If the TV does not turn on, no indicators on its front panel are lit or blinking. Also, if the TV does not respond to the remote control and buttons, does not make any sounds or any signs of operability when turned on, there is a certain chance that the 715G6353-P01-000-002H power module is faulty and needs repair. Sometimes with similar manifestations a problem can only occur in the absence of standby power. First of all, it is necessary to replace the swollen capacitors of the rectifier filters, if any. If the mains fuse is broken in the power supply, in most cases a breakdown of the power key (s) is detected, which can be integrated with the PWM controller, or a separate field-effect transistor can be used. The rectifier bridge diodes and the electrolytic capacitor of the mains rectifier filter should also be checked.
As a rule, the keys in switching power supplies (SMPS) are reliable enough and rarely fail for no reason to be looked for by checking other components of the circuit - electrolytic capacitors, resistors and semiconductor elements of the primary circuit. The PWM chip is verified by replacing it with a known good one.
If the PHILIPS 42PFT6569 does not have an image, there is sound and the channels are switched, there is a possibility of a malfunction in the backlight LED circuit of the LC420DUN (PG) (A1) panel, or their power converter - LED driver. Sometimes, when turned on, the image appears and immediately disappears. In such cases, it is necessary to check the electrolytic capacitors of the power filter of the backlight unit.
A malfunction in the backlight circuits often occurs due to an open in the power circuit of the LED lines. It is necessary to disassemble the panel and check the LEDs themselves, the soldering of their conclusions, as well as the reliability of the connections in the connectors and the soldering of the conclusions of the connectors.
To check the health in the LED circuit, it is better to use a current source with a maximum voltage of 200V. We do not recommend using any voltage sources for this purpose. You can test each LED individually with a simple Chinese multimeter (powered by 9 volts) in the P-N-junction test mode. If you connect the red probe of the multimeter to the anode of the LED, and the black to its cathode, then the 3-volt LED will light up slightly, and in the opposite direction you can detect the transition of the emergency zener diode. A zener diode PN junction indirectly indicates a LED-a
When trying to repair the motherboard, you should first check the serviceability of linear stabilizers or power converters of microcircuits and, if necessary, update the software (software).
In cases of complex repairs of MB (SSB) and in the presence of the necessary skills and equipment, sometimes it may be necessary to replace its CPU chips: MT5580PUEI; DRAM: K4B4G1646B-HCK0; NAND Flash: TC58NVG2S3ETAI0; SPI Flash: CAT24C128WI and other possible malfunctioning components. Malfunctions associated with the application of BGA soldering technologies are usually easily diagnosed by the heating method.
Before changing the TDSY-G720D tuner, if it is not possible to tune to television channels, make sure that there are supply voltages that must be measured at the corresponding tuner pins and checked for correctness. The pulses of the data exchange of the tuner with the processor can be controlled by an oscilloscope
Attention to the owners! Attempts at self-repair of the PHILIPS 42PFT6569 TV are not recommended by the manufacturer and can lead to serious negative consequences!

715G6165-M01-000-005X can be used in TVs:
PHILIPS 42PFT6309/60 (Panel LC420DUN (PG)(P1) CODE 106), PHILIPS 40PFT4509/60 (Panel TPT400LA-J6PE1 REV:C1A), PHILIPS 42PFT6569/60 (Panel LC420DUN (PG)(A1)), PHILIPS 32PHT4509/60 (Panel TPT315B5-DXJSFE Rev-S1Z code 112).
PSU Advanced
The power module 715G6353-P01-000-002H is made using the Power Factor Correction (PFC) scheme to eliminate multiple AC harmonics introduced into the power supply by the device. The PFC node is a Step-Up Converter based on the LD7591T PWM controller, which evenly distributes high-frequency impulses of the charging current of the electrolytic capacitor of the rectifier filter of the mains voltage over a period of 50 Hz. The current of its charge in this case will already be determined not by its reactance (usually 10-30 ohms for the network frequency), but by the elements of the converter. As a result, a change in the amplitude of the pulses (envelope) of the consumed current of the converter will repeat the shape and phase of the input sinusoidal voltage. The availability of an increased voltage (about + 380V) in the operating mode on the capacitor of the line filter indicates the serviceability of the PFC node.

Main features of the PHILIPS 42PFT6569 device:
Installed matrix (LED-panel) LC420DUN (PG) (A1).
The matrix control uses the Timing Controller (T-CON) 6870C-0469A.
To power the backlight LEDs, the KPW-LE42FC-0 LED driver is used, controlled by the TPS61197 PWM controller. As power elements of the LED driver, keys of the type KF4N20LW, FDD390N15A are used.
The necessary supply voltages for all nodes of the PHILIPS 42PFT6569 TV are generated by the power module 715G6353-P01-000-002H, or its analogs using microcircuits LD7591T (PFC), SSC1S311 (PWM).
MainBoard - the main board (motherboard) is a 715G6165-M01-000-005X module, using CPU chips: MT5580PUEI; DRAM: K4B4G1646B-HCK0; NAND Flash: TC58NVG2S3ETAI0; SPI Flash: CAT24C128WI and others.
The TDSY-G720D tuner allows you to receive television programs and tune to channels.

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.
These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.
While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.
