General repair guidelines for TV LCD LED
TV PHILIPS 48PFT6300 / 60, like many other electronic devices, it is advisable to start repairing by inspecting all external and internal elements. Based on visible external changes in the state of the components, it is often possible to determine the direction of the troubleshooting before making the necessary measurements. Electrolytic capacitors of filters with a swollen casing, as well as ring cracks formed in the soldered leads of heating elements, or a layer of coal on burnt resistors sometimes tell the repairman the causes of the malfunction and possible consequences.
If the power supply module 715G6743-P01-001-002H fails, the external manifestations may be different, for example, the PHILIPS 48PFT6300 does not turn on at all and there is no indication of the indicator lights on the front panel. Diagnostics and repair of the common power supply should always begin with a check of the mains fuse and the condition of the electrolytic capacitors of the secondary rectifier filters. Defective and swollen capacitors should be replaced with new ones. If the fuse breaks, it is advisable to check for a breakdown, first of all, all power semiconductor elements of the converter and the diode bridge of the rectifier network, as well as a large electrolytic capacitor of the filter of the rectifier network.
If a breakdown of the power switch is detected, it should be remembered that in a switching power supply (IIP) it does not fail by itself without any reasons that should be sought by checking other elements of the primary circuit - electrolytic capacitors, a PWM controller, which can only be checked replacement, as well as other semiconductor elements (diodes, transistors, zener diodes).
Sometimes the PHILIPS 48PFT6300 TV does not have an image, but there is sound, or the image appears and immediately disappears. In this case, there is a high probability of a malfunction of the LTA48OHW03 panel backlight LEDs converter, or a break in the LED circuit is possible. In such cases, first of all, it is necessary to verify the operability of the electrolytic capacitors of the filter by supplying the LED driver itself, including the PSU.
Often in the absence of backlighting, disassembling the panel is required. It is necessary to check the serviceability of the transitions of the LEDs, as well as the reliability of the contact connections in the rulers and connectors.
It is impossible to check the LED line for breaks without disassembling the panel with a multimeter or tester. For these purposes, it is necessary to open all series-connected PN junctions and a voltage of the order of tens of volts will be required, and ideally, a current source.
The motherboard 715G6947-M0G-000-004Y must be checked if there is no reaction to the remote control and function buttons, the standby indicator blinks or lights up constantly. In such cases, if the converters or power regulators of the microcircuit are working, a software update may be necessary.
Attention to the owners! Attempts at self-repair of the PHILIPS 48PFT6300 TV are not recommended by the manufacturer and can lead to serious negative consequences!

PSU Advanced
On the 48PFT6300 / 60 TV, the 715G6743-P01-001-002H power module is installed using the PFC (Power Factor Correction) circuit acting as an active filter to eliminate the higher harmonic components of the current consumption. The boost converter based on the SSC2005S PWM controller does not allow the input rectifier filter's electrolytic capacitor to be connected to the network directly through open diodes when the charge current determines its reactance (about 15-30 ohms at a frequency of 50 Hz). As a result of the conversion, the charging current of the capacitor will be determined in such a way that the envelope of the high-frequency pulses of the input current will repeat the phase and shape of the sine wave of the input voltage. The health check of the PFC unit is carried out by measuring the DC voltage on the capacitor of the rectifier network. In operating mode, it should be around 380V, in standby approximately 300V.

Main features of the PHILIPS 48PFT6300 device:
Installed matrix (LED-panel) LTA480HW03.
To power the backlight LEDs, a converter is used, combined with the power supply, controlled by the BL0202C PWM controller. As power elements of the LED driver, keys of the type P1825ATF are used.
The necessary supply voltages for all nodes of the PHILIPS 48PFT6300 TV are generated by the power module 715G6743-P01-001-002H, or its analogs using SSC2S110, SSC2005S (PFC) microcircuits and power switches of the AOTF8N65, STF24NM60N type.
MainBoard - the main board (motherboard) is a module 715G6947-M0G-000-004Y, using CPU chips: NT72453; NAND Flash: MX30LF1G08AA-T1 1Gb; SOUND: AUDIO AD87588-LG48NAY; and others.
The ST42CS-2-E 394GNPALALL32L tuner provides TV reception and channel tuning.

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.
These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.
While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.
