REPAIRING AND NOT THROWING AWAY

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

In Brief: On this site you will find pictures and technical information about Service Modes, Circuit Diagrams, Firmware Update procedure, Disassemble procedure, Universal remote control set-up codes, Troubleshooting and more....

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.

These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Happy repairing!

SHARP LC-32LE240
General repair guidelines for TV LCD LED
Possible malfunctions
- The SHARP LC-32LE240 TV does not turn on and does not show any signs of turning on, it does not respond to the control buttons or the remote control.
Most often, with such manifestations, the main power module 17PW07-2 turns out to be faulty. It is necessary to measure its output voltages, and if they are absent, check the operability of the power switches (FQPFN50C, A04842) of the converters and rectifier diodes for a short circuit probability.
In case of diode breakdowns in the secondary circuits, the converter can operate in emergency short-circuit mode without output voltages, and during short circuit in the power elements of the primary circuit, the mains fuse and / or current sensor at the source of the key usually breaks.
Mos-Fet power switches, used in switching power supplies, sometimes fail due to a malfunction of any other elements that can put it out of operation in key mode, or create an excess of the maximum permissible parameters of the switch. These can be elements supplying the PWM controller, frequency-setting or damping circuits, or negative feedback elements in the stabilization circuit. PWM controllers FAN7621, FAN7529 (PFC), FSDL321 (Stb), in the absence of visible damage or explicit short-circuit between the terminals, are checked by replacing with new, or obviously working.
- There is no image, there is sound, it is responding to the remote control. Or immediately after turning on for a second, the image may appear and immediately disappear.
In such cases, the most likely malfunction of the LED backlight elements. The reason can be both in the power supply of the LEDs, in their serviceability (breakdown or breakage), as well as in the violation of the contact connections of the LED strips.
It is impossible to check the line of series-connected LEDs without a special current source, and for this purpose it is not safe to use any voltage sources above 12V. Then it remains only to open the panel and check each LED separately. Usually, Chinese 9V-powered multimeters light up a single 3-volt LED, if you connect the probes in the forward direction, the red probe to the anode, and the black to the cathode. In dual 6-volt LEDs, the PN junction of its emergency zener diode can serve as an indicator of health. In the event of a LED malfunction, its zener diode will either be cut off or broken into short-circuit.
- The indicator on the front panel blinks, the TV does not turn on in the operating mode, it does not respond to the remote control.
Repair or diagnostics of the 17MB62-2.6 motherboard should begin by checking the stabilizers and power converters needed to power the chips and matrix. If necessary, update or replace the software (software). Often, the MB (SSB) card must be replaced in case of complex malfunctions that are difficult to detect. When trying to repair, you should check its elements - MSD9WB9PT-2-TA, 25Q80BVS10, TPA3113D2 and replace failed chips with new ones. Some malfunctions may be due to the use of BGA soldering technologies in modern Main Board technologies. Typically, such defects are detected by local heating of the chip.
Before changing the SUT-RE216TN tuner, if it is not possible to tune to television channels, make sure that there are supply voltages that must be measured at the corresponding tuner pins and check the software for correctness. The pulses of the data exchange of the tuner with the processor can be controlled by an oscilloscope
Once again, we remind TV users: you should not make attempts to repair it yourself without the appropriate knowledge, experience and the necessary qualifications! Entrust repair to professionals with sufficient experience in the field of repair of electronic equipment.

Service manual / schematic diagram ------------>   SHARP LC-32LE240 Chassis 17MB62

 1. Service Manual with Schematic Diagram 70 pages of 2011 on the LC-32LE240M, LC-32LE340M

2. Service Manual with Schematic Diagram 104 pages of 2012 on the model LC-32LE240E-EK LC-32LE240EV-RU, LC-40LE240E-EK, LC-40LE240EV-RU - 17MB62 CHASSIS.

The appearance of the MainBoard 17MB62-2.6 is shown in the figure below:
The 17MB62-2.6 motherboard is made using the MSD9WB9PT-2 processor, combined with a scaler. For its operation, random-access memory (DDR) K4T1G164QF, or HY5PS121621C, and NAND512-A read-only memory (ROM) are used. To ensure processor power, DC / DC converters with output voltages of 1.2V, 2.5V, 3.3V are used. For DDR, the voltage is 1.8V, for NAND it is either 1.8 or 3.3V. It is advisable to start the repair by checking the supply voltage in stand-by mode (12V), 5V and 3.3V. Further, in the operating mode, it is necessary to check the operability of all linear stabilizers and DC / DC voltage converters used to power the MB and LCD panel chips. If there is a backlight and no image, depending on the type of panel used, its 5V or 12V power supply can be measured directly on the LVDS connector.
A typical malfunction of this board is a NAND software failure. At the same time, the TV does not turn on and blinks alternately with indicators on the panel. If the software of the SPI FLASH chip, in which the bootloader is located, is not damaged, NAND is updated via the USB port with standard software. Otherwise, it makes sense to try downloading the software if there is a mboot.bin file on the media, which can be used as standard SPI FLASH content.
17MB62-2.6 can be used in TVs:
PHILIPS 19PFL2908H/60 (Panel HT185WX1-300), PHILIPS 22PFL2807H/60 (Panel LM215WF4 (TL)(G1)), PHILIPS 24PFL2908H/60 (Panel V236BJ1-LE1 Rev.C2), PHILIPS 22PFL2908H/60 (Panel M215HGE-L21 ), SHARP LC-22LE240RUX (Panel 22 "), SHARP LC-40LE240RUX (Panel LTA400HM13 C04), SHARP LC-32LE140RU LC-32LE140 (Panel LC320EXN), TOSHIBA 23KL934R (Panel LTM230HT10 75029655), TOSHIBA 32KL934R (Panel LTA320AN12 T01).
The appearance of the power supply
Main features of the SHARP LC-32LE240 device:
Installed matrix (LED-panel) LC320EUN (SD) (V1).
The LED driver 6917L-0065C is used to power the backlight LEDs, it is controlled by the BD9262EF PWM controller. As power elements of the LED driver, keys of the AOD482 type are used.
The necessary supply voltages for all nodes of the SHARP LC-32LE240 television are generated by the 17PW07-2 power module or its analogs using FAN7621, FAN7529 (PFC), FSDL321 (Stb) microcircuits and power switches of the type FQPFN50C, A04842.
MainBoard - the main board (motherboard) is a 17MB62-2.6 module, using microchips MSD9WB9PT-2-TA, 25Q80BVS10, TPA3113D2 and others.
