REPAIRING AND NOT THROWING AWAY

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

In Brief: On this site you will find pictures and technical information about Service Modes, Circuit Diagrams, Firmware Update procedure, Disassemble procedure, Universal remote control set-up codes, Troubleshooting and more....

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.

These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Happy repairing!
Today, the West is headed for the abyss. For the ultimate fate of our disposable society is for that society itself to be disposed of. And this will happen sooner, rather than later.

SONY CMT-X3CD PERSONAL AUDIO SYSTEM – HOW TO EJECT DISC AT EMERGENCY, EXPLODED VIEW AND TROUBLESHOOTING, RESETTING, DISC LOCK AND RELEASING, AND OTHER MORE

REMOTE COMMANDER (RM-AMU212)

Mechanism Type: T33DS

Optical Pick-up Block Name: S76RFS7GP

Amplifier section
Power output (rated):
8 watts + 8 watts (at 8 ohms, 1 kHz, 1% THD)
RMS power output (reference):
10 watts + 10 watts (per channel at 8 ohms, 1 kHz)

Speaker section
Speaker system:
Full-range speaker,  Passive radiator
Rated impedance: 8 ohms

Power requirements:
AC 120 V - 240 V, 50 Hz/60 Hz
(Singapore and Thai models)
AC 110 V - 240 V, 50 Hz/60 Hz (Taiwan model)
AC 220 V - 240 V, 50 Hz/60 Hz (Korean model)

The laser diode in the optical pick-up block may suffer electrostatic break-down because of the potential difference generated by the charged electrostatic load, etc. on clothing and the human body.
During repair, pay attention to electrostatic break-down and also use the procedure in the printed matter which is included in the repair parts.
The flexible board is easily damaged and should be handled with care.

CAPACITOR ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE PROCESs
When checking the board, the electrical discharge is necessary for the electric shock prevention.
Connect the resistor to both ends of respective capacitors.

MODEL IDENTIFICATION
Distinguish by Part No. of model number label stuck on the bottom side of a main unit.
Note: The printed contents of following figure model number label may be different from the model number label of a main unit.

When each boards installed in this unit are defective, individual electrical parts that the mount is done cannot be replaced. When each boards are defective, replace the mounted board or the whole parts including an applicable board.
NOTE THE REPLACING OF MA BOARD OR NFC MODULE
When replacing the MA board or the NFC module, be sure replace both at the same time.
The MA board or the NFC module cannot replace with single.
TEST DISCS
Use following TEST DISC (for CD) when this unit confirms the operation and checks it.
Part No. Description

RELEASING THE DISC SLOT LOCK
The disc slot lock function for the antitheft of sample disc in the shop is equipped.

Releasing Procedure:
1. Press the [Power] button to turn the power on.
2. Press two buttons of the [ PAIRING FUNCTION] and [VOL-] simultaneously for five seconds.
3. The message “UNLOCKED” is displayed on the fluorescent indicator tube and the disc slot is unlocked.
Note: When “LOCKED” is displayed, the disc slot lock is not released by turning power on/off with the [Power] button.

No Display When You Turn the Main Unit ON, When you plug power cord and turn the main unit on, VFD won’t display.
1. Check PW board +13V DC output.
2. Check MA board output -24V from U18 on the MA board.  If -24V is not normal, check the working status of U18 on the MA board.
3. Check +3.3V from U3 on the MA board.  If +3.3V is not normal, check the working status of U3 on the MA board.
4. Check the waveform of Y1 on the MA board, the waveform of Y1 on the MA board sine wave.  If the waveform of Y1 on the MA board is not normal, check Y1 on the MA board.

When You Plug Power Cord and Turn The Main Unit ON, The Main Unit Won’t Have Sound
1. Check U6 on the MA board and its peripheral circuit.
2. Check voltage +3.3V from pin 33, pin 60, pin 63, pin 70, pin 72, pin 78, pin 83 and pin 90 of U6 on the MA board.  If the voltage +3.3V is not normal, check +3.3V power circuit of MA board.
3. Check voltage +1.2V from pin 11, pin 77 and pin 86 of U6 on the MA board.  If the voltage +1.2V is not normal, check +1.2V power circuit of MA board.
4. Check if oscillating frequency 27 MHz of Y1 crystal on the MA board is normal.  If the oscillating frequency 27 MHz is not normal, check if Y1 on the MA board and its peripheral circuit is in failure.
5. Check if the status of U17 and U25 on the MA board works well, the normal status of pin 27 of U25 on the MA board is sine wave with frequency 11.0592 MHz. And pin 23 of U25 on the MA board is high in normal status.  If pin 27 of U25 on the MA board wave is not normal, check if U17 and U25 on the MA board and its peripheral circuit is in failure.

When You Plug Power Cord and Turn The Main Unit ON, The Main Unit Won’t Read Disc Normal
1. Check U6 on the MA board signal and its peripheral circuit, and check +3.3V from pin 8 of U5 on the MA board is normal.  If +3.3V is not normal, check +3.3V power circuit of MA board.
2. Check every signal connected between U5 and U6 on the MA board, especially including DATA, CLK and CS signal.  If DATA, CLK and CS signal is not normal output, check if U6 on the MA board is in failure.
3. Check if +5V from pin 8, pin 19 and pin 21 of U7 on the MA board is normal.  If +5V is not normal, check +5V power circuit of MA board.
4. Check every signal connected between U6 and U7 on the MA board, especially FOCUS_S, SPDL_S, XOPVIN1, SLED_S, TRACK_S, VREF2 and DRVSB signal to drive MD.  If FOCUS_S, SPDL_S, XOPVIN1, SLED_S, TRACK_S, VREF2 and DRVSB signal is not normal output, check if U7 on the MA board is in failure.

When You Plug Power Cord and Turn The Main Unit ON, The Wireless Set Can’t Connect The Bluetooth of the Main Unit.
1. Check +3.3V from pin 29 and pin 32 of U13 on the MA board.  If +3.3V is not normal, check +3.3V power circuit of MA board.
2. Check U13 on the MA board signal and its peripheral circuit, make sure U13 is in failure or not. 3. Touch the NFC, you can’t awake the Main Unit, but you can connect the Bluetooth directly, check the connection between the NFC module and the MA board.
If the connection is normal, check the NFC module.
