These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution.In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

SONY ERICSSON PLAYSTATION PHONE HARD RESET PROCEDURE

This is the procedure on how to factory reset the Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone if you want to wipe and clear all data and you want to restore its original factory default settings again.

Just follow this simple step by step instructions on how to hard reset the Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone

Please note: the result of this procedure  will be delete all data installed or stored from the Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone. And also, the result of this process may or may not delete data stored on the microSD memory card. Please do have a back up copy all of your personal data before proceeding.

Factory Reset from the main home screen,

   1. From the Main Home Screen, select Menu
   2. Select Settings, then select Privacy
   3. Select Factory Data Reset
   4. Select Reset Phone
   5. Enter the Password if prompted, then confirm by selecting Erase Everything

If the Sony Ericsson PlayStation phone is frozen, do a hard reset through button combination.

   1. Turn Off the device power. If your Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone is frozen, take the battery out from the device and reinsert it back again.
   2. Hold the Left and Right buttons located just beneath the LCD display
   3. Press and then  release the Power button
   4. Just follow the on-screen instructions on  how to hard reset your Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone

Once the factory reset process  is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.
All data including third-party applications installed and stored already deleted from the Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone

Sony PlayStation Vita 3G – Disassembling procedure – How to replace the antenna Cable

ANTENNA CABLE REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE 
Power off and remove the memory card.
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the four 6.4mm screws on the back casing
Using your fingernail or a spudger, pry open the accessory port cover on the top of the device.
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the two 5.4mm screws hidden beneath the accessory port cover.
Remove the two 5.4mm Phillips #00 screws on the bottom of the device near the charging port.
Beginning at the sides of the device, use a plastic opening tool to separate the front and rear cases.
Continue working your way around the device gently prying it open.
There are still wires holding the front and rear cases together. You may damage the connections if you yank the cases completely apart.
Gently separate the two cases, minding the battery and the touch screen controller connectors holding the two cases together.
Using a spudger, free the touch screen controller flex cable by gently prying up the connection.
Free the battery cable by gently prying up on the connection with a spudger.
Separate the front and rear cases.
Using the pointy end of a spudger, gently pry the 3G antenna cable off of the wireless card.
Using the pointy end of a spudger, gently pry the 3G antenna cable off the right button board.
Deroute the 3G antenna cable out of the casing and remove it.

Flip the PS4 over on its top.
Remove the four stickers on the back of the PS4.
Remove the three 9mm T9 Torx screws on the back of the system.
Remove the bottom panel by lifting the front piece up and sliding the
panel towards the back.
Remove the three 9mm T9 Torx screws.
Remove the two 4cm Phillips head #1 screws.
Lift straight up on the power supply.
Remove the 5 wire plug that is attached from the power supply to the motherboard.
You can now fully remove the power supply from the system.
Disconnect the ribbon wire from the optical drive by pressing down on the metal release tab and gently
pulling the ribbon wire. This should not require force.
Disconnect the same ribbon wire from the motherboard; making sure
you're pressing down on the metal release tab and gently pulling the ribbon wire.
Remove the wifi antenna cable attached to the motherboard.
Remove the optical drive four wire plug from the motherboard by pulling straight out.
Remove the four 9mm Torx T9 screw attached to the wifi antenna and optical drive.

Free the battery cable by gently prying up on the connection with a spudger.
Separate the front and rear cases.
With the help of a spudger, gently pry off and remove the battery cable retainer on the back casing assembly.
The easiest access to the battery cable retainer is where the battery cable comes out.
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the two 5.0mm blue battery case screws.
Remove the plastic battery retaining bar.
Using your finger or a spudger, lift the battery out and remove it.
Guide the battery wires through the hole in the back casing as you remove the battery.

HOW TO REPLACE THE NOISY FAN OF SONY PLAYSTATION 3


How to replace the Noisy fan of Sony Playstation 3


Noisy Fan – Sony Playstation 3 
Turn the PS3 over and lay it on its backside.
Carefully peel the warranty sticker up off the lower case to reveal a hidden screw cover.
To avoid activating the VOID that may come up, heat the sticker carefully to remove and replace it cleanly.
Use the flat end of a metal spudger to pry up the seven screw covers around the edge of the lower case.
Remove the seven 37 mm Phillips screws securing the top cover to the lower case.
Remove the four 13.3 mm T8 security Torx screws beneath the Blu-ray drive opening. (Some models may only have three screws)
Lift the top cover from its rear edge and rotate it toward the front of the PS3.
Lift the top cover off the PS3.
 Squeeze the AC inlet connector's locking mechanism and pull straight up to disconnect it from the power supply.
Pull the DC-Out cables straight up to lift their connector up and out of its socket on the power supply.
 Remove the two 7.6 mm Phillips screws securing the power supply to the lower case.
Lift the power supply upward from its left edge as viewed from the front of the PS3.
 Continue to lift the left edge of the power supply until it lifts off the two metal posts shown in the second picture.
Remove the power supply from the PS3, minding any cables that may get caught.
Pull the fan cables upward to lift the fan connector up and out of its socket on the motherboard.
De-route the fan cables from under the plastic hook molded into the fan shroud.
 Remove the two 9.5 mm Phillips screws securing the fan to the heat sink.
 Lift the fan out of the heat sink, minding any cables that may get caught.
