- The TV does not turn on, does not respond to the remote control. The indicator blinks or signals the standby mode.

Repair or diagnostics of the RSAG7.820.7924 motherboard should begin with checking the stabilizers and power converters necessary to power the microcircuits and matrix. REPAIRING / SERVICING TV TOSHIBA 23PB201EJ GREEN INDICATOR ON - BLANK SCREEN

The BL lamp has also been on …… but the screen is blank …… .. there is no OSD appearance.
If you leave it for a while… ..sometimes the BL lights go out for a while then turn on again ……… and so on over and over again.
Try checking the Tcon voltages ... the results are present ...

Try FLASH….
The results do not change….
Check the dc-dc voltages… ..5v, 3.3v, 2.5v ALL present….

Observe the motherboard….
Tuner that is used type …… .TDSS-G221D …… ..
Tuners of this type are most likely to have problems …….
Try removing the tuner ...
 ... ... the screen can come out "blueback" ... and the OSD can appear ...

This type of tuner can be replaced with the TDSS-G224D equation type.

Or replaced by the TDSS-201D type with a few modifications as shown.

TOSHIBA 22DL704B OR ANY TV REPAIRING DEAD, NO ST-BY LED WITH A TV PSU VESTEL 17PW80


AN EASY VESTEL FIX, WORTH CHECKING IF YOU HAVE ANY DEAD TV WITH A VESTEL 17PW80 PSU.

  found zero virtually zero power going to the main board and the screen controller kept tripping.

  checked the capacitors for the usual bulges etc but they appeared to be fine.


There are 5x large diodes, just below the caps in the secondary section of the power supply. Soon found the fault:





Lift one of the legs on the first 3x – D708,D709 & D710.

Then check them with a meter – I found D710 to be shorted.


I would recommend replacing all three – you looking for a 200v 3A UF5402, easily available  for SMALL MONEY
 I would also recommend replacing all electroytic capacitors as well !


Simple fix.

CHECKING THE SOFTWARE VERSION.

- With the TV on enter the Factory menu

- In the Factory menu, check if the software version installed is correct.

Main SW update via the User Menu

- Download the compressed file update.zip, change the name and extension to “V8-N563T01-LF1Vxxx.bin” where xxx is the version number.

- Save the file to the root of a USB device.

- Connect the USB device, with the software, to the USB port.

- Select MENU Support Update. of ware via USB.

- The device will find the Vxxx software. Press “Update”

- The update will start. After approximately 4 minutes the TV will automatically restart.

- After restarting, perform the reset by going to the settings menu “MENU (key) System Restore Mode

Factory. Confirmation and password request is requested. Enter 1234 and press "OK".

- After this the TV will restart.

Note: The version of the So ware to be used must be the one informed in the material plan of the respective product.

After approximately 4 minutes the TV will automatically restart.



UPDATE WHEN THE APPLIANCE HAS NO VIDEO

- Save the file to the root of a USB device by renaming it as “update.zip”.

- With the device disconnected from the mains, connect the USB device, with the installation software, to the USB port.

- Press the TV's Power key and keeping it pressed, connect the TV to the mains

- The update will start. After approximately 4 minutes the TV will automatically restart.

- After restarting, perform the reset by going to the settings menu “MENU (key) System Restore Mode

Factory. Confirmation and password request is requested. Enter 1234 and press "OK".

- After this the TV will restart.

PROJECT ID CHANGE

(If panel information is wrong)

If the screen is completely dark due to the difference in panel x installed ware, press 062598 + MENU + xxx (xxx: Panel ID)


After the update, the TV will enter TV mode and the channel that was previously selected. Enter the menu factory settings again, select option 3 - Reset Shop, press enter.

After the reset, switch on the device using the power key.

PANEL TEST MODE (WARM-UP)

To EXIT the “WARM-UP” mode, press the POWER key on the device because the control functions remote will be disabled and if the device is just disconnected from the network, the “WARM-UP” mode will return when connected to the network again.

After exiting WARM-UP, enter the factory menu again and turn off the Factory Hotkey option or give a user reset.

Dial cord restringing

Tight up the dial cord for the designated length, and cement after two ties.
