REPAIRING AND NOT THROWING AWAY

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

In Brief: On this site you will find pictures and technical information about Service Modes, Circuit Diagrams, Firmware Update procedure, Disassemble procedure, Universal remote control set-up codes, Troubleshooting and more....

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.

These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Happy repairing!
Today, the West is headed for the abyss. For the ultimate fate of our disposable society is for that society itself to be disposed of. And this will happen sooner, rather than later.

SHARP LC-42DH77E/RU/S/V - LC-46DH77E/RU/S/V - LED BLINKING CODES - ERROR CODES

SHARP LC-42DH77E/RU/S/V - LC-46DH77E/RU/S/V - LED BLINKING CODES - Error Codes _ Universal Remote Control Set-up Codes

LED BLINKING CODES & FAULTY CIRCUIT SECTIONS TO BE CHECKED
LED flashing method
  • Synchronize the phases of the power LED and OPC LED.
  • If the LEDs have different number of flashings, adjust the flashing cycle to that where the LED flashes more times.
FLASHING PATTERN
ERROR ERR STBY Table
{CLICK ON TABLES TO ZOOM IN}
Lamp failure Flashes once => ERR_PNL(40pin): Abnormal L.
  • Confirmed after 5 consecutive detections at 1 second intervals (detected only when the backlight is on).
  • Note that after five detection counts, the lamp cannot be activated except in the monitoring process. (For the first time, only the inverter is reset, and error OFF is not activated.)
  • Accumulated counts are cleared to 0 when the setting in the adjustment process is made, when AC_ON is performed with [CH_DOWN] and [VOL_UP] on the unit down or after continuous illumination for 3 minutes.
PS_ON AC_DET failure Flashes once => AC_DET(72pin: Abnormal (L).  If error is detected during start-up or operation, the power is turned on again by interrupt handling (instantaneous blackout processing)
D_POW Main 12V failure Flashes twice => DET_12V(34pin): Abnormal (L). Main 12V is not applied.  If error is detected during start-up or operation, the power is turned on again by polling.
D_POW Digital 3.3V Failure Flashes 3 times => DET_D3V3(35pin): abnormal (L). Digital 3.3V is not applied. If error is detected during start-up or operation, polling turns on the power again.
Communication failure details (Power green LED flashes once and OPC (preset) LED flashes)
Initial communication reception failure Flashes once => Initial communication from the main CPU is not received. (Request for the monitor model No. is not received.) à Communication line failure or main CPU start-up failure.
Start-up confirmation reception failure Flashes twice => Start-up reason confirmation from the main CPU cannot be received. (Startup communication until start-up reason notification command is not received.)  à Main CPU start-up failure or monitor microprocessor reception failure.
Regular communication failure Flashes 3 times => Regular communication that is performed at 1 second intervals in the normal operation is interrupted. àMain CPU operation failure or monitor microprocessor reception failure.
Other communication failure Flashes 5 times => When a request (PM_REQ=H) is sent from the main microprocessor, the request command is not output from the main CPU, etc. à Main CPU operation failure or monitor microprocessor reception failure.
Monitor temperature failure Flashes once => If the panel temperature is 60°C or more for 15 seconds or more in a row, CAUTION appears on the OSD (flashes in red in the lower right screen).  If the panel temperature is 60°C or more for 25 seconds or more in a row, error standby is activated. --> Thermistor
Main failure Flashes 3 times => Main microprocessor detection error (CPU temperature error, etc.)
