General repair guidelines for TV LCD
It is advisable to start any repair and diagnostics of the SAMSUNG LW26A33, LW26A33W, LW26A33WX TV with a careful external examination of the internal and external elements, including case parts, display, buttons and cables. Often, for certain external signs, it is possible to draw some conclusions about the reasons for the failure of certain elements of the circuit even before the necessary measurements are made, which will determine the further algorithm for troubleshooting and localizing the defect. Carbonized paint on the upper layer of resistors, electrolytic capacitors of rectifier filters deformed after boiling, cracked soldering on the terminals of the elements can often tell the cause of the defect and possible consequences.
In the absence of any signs of operability, when the SAMSUNG LW26A33 does not turn on and does not signal anything with the control lights on the panel, the power module BN41-00456B BN94-00444N BN94-00443Z is most likely to be faulty. When diagnosing and repairing the power supply BN41-00456B BN94-00444N BN94-00443Z, the fuse must first be checked, and if it is broken, the power switch and rectifier bridge diodes should be checked for avalanche (thermal) breakdown.
In most cases, a breakdown of the N-Fet converter key does not occur for no reason and you should look for other faulty circuit elements that could provoke a defect. This can be dried electrolytic capacitors in the primary circuit, and faulty damper elements, as well as dangling resistors or punched semiconductor elements in the stabilization circuits. Possible defective PWM chip from the manufacturer.
Diagnostics of power modules with a Power Factor Corrector (CMC) is somewhat more complicated and requires a more detailed approach.
If, when you turn on the TV, the image appears and immediately disappears, or is initially absent when turned on, but there are sound and other functions work, there is a high probability of a malfunction of the inverter (power converter for the backlight). In such cases, the lamps, the inverter and the common power module are subject to verification, in which the electrolytic capacitors of the rectifier filter feeding the inverter should be checked.
The operation of the power circuits of the inverter and the backlight in the normal mode are controlled by special protection, which is organized for fire safety, for example, to disconnect during short circuits or breaks in high-voltage connections or when the lamps are depressurized. This protection makes it difficult to diagnose and repair the inverter.
In such cases, the risk of failure of the power elements of the inverter is most likely, and special care is required during operations, and after their completion, it is necessary to restore the protection circuit for further safe operation of the TV by the owner in normal mode.
Owners and users of the SAMSUNG LW26A33 TV must remember that self-repair without special knowledge, skills and qualifications can be fraught with negative consequences that can lead to complete non-repairability of the device!
SCHEMATICS---------> Samsung LW26A33W Chassis NF26EO.
Main features of the SAMSUNG LW26A33 device:
Installed matrix (LCD panel) LTA260W1-L03 or T260XW01 VER. 3.
The matrix control uses the Timing Controller (T-CON) T260XW01.
To power the backlight, an inverter DARFONV144 is used, it is controlled by the PWM controller OZ964G (20), LM393 (8), HC4538A (16). As power elements of the inverter, keys of the FDS8958A type (8) are used.
The formation of the necessary supply voltages for all nodes of the SAMSUNG LW26A33 TV is carried out by the power module BN41-00456B, or its analogs.
MainBoard - the main board (motherboard) is a BN41-00457C module, using CPU chips: VPC 3230D C5; SDA5550M; TEA6425; TEA6422 and others.
The tuner BN40-00051A TMQZ6-404C provides the reception of television programs and tuning to channels.

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.
These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.
While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.
