General repair guidelines for TV LCD
SAMSUNG LE32A556P1 TV, like any other, it is advisable to start repairing with an inspection of internal and external elements. Specific external damage can sometimes prompt further actions to determine the malfunction of the TV and localization of the defect before the necessary measurements and waveforms are taken. In some cases, faulty elements are visible to the naked eye, for example, charred resistors or swollen metal-ceramic capacitors, or electrolytic in rectifier filters. Ring cracks formed in the soldering of the terminals of transformers or heating elements of the circuit are also frequent sources of many malfunctions with a variety of external manifestations.
If the TV does not turn on, no indicators on its front panel are lit or blinking. Also, if the TV does not respond to the remote control and buttons, does not make any sounds or any signs of operability when it is turned on, there is a certain probability that the BN44-00208A power supply module is defective and needs repair. Sometimes with similar manifestations, a problem can only occur in the absence of processor power, but this happens much less often. In this case, the diagnosis and repair of the common power supply should always be started by checking the mains fuse. When it is broken, it is advisable to check for a breakdown, first of all, all power semiconductor elements of the converter and the rectifier diode bridge of the network, as well as the large electrolytic capacitor of the filter of the network rectifier and the key transistor.
If a breakdown of the power switch of the flyback converter of the power supply unit is detected, it should be remembered that it does not fail for no reason, which should be sought by checking other elements of the primary circuit - electrolytic capacitors, a PWM controller that can only be checked by replacement, as well as others semiconductor elements (diodes, transistors, zener diodes).
In cases using a power module with an active KKM, troubleshooting is sometimes somewhat more complicated.
In cases where the SAMSUNG LE32A556P1 TV has lost its image, and the sound is there and all other functions are operational, there is a possibility of an inverter (converter for powering the backlight) failure. When you turn on the TV, the image may appear briefly and immediately disappear. It should be borne in mind that with such manifestations, the lamps themselves also fail, the malfunction of which can be detected by replacement, by connecting to the connectors for diagnostics that are known to be serviceable and suitable in power.
When repairing the SSI320-16B01 Rev0.3 inverter, it is often necessary to disable the protection for diagnostics, which, for the purpose of fire safety, turns it off in any emergency situation, for example, during a malfunction or uneven wear of the lamps, which makes it difficult to find a defect.
Turning off the protection for diagnostic purposes, it must be remembered that in this case there is a risk of failure of the power elements of the inverter. Upon completion of the diagnosis, all regular protection circuits should be restored.
Repair of the motherboard BN41-00974B or BN94-01656E must begin with the diagnosis and verification of all linear stabilizers or power converters of its microcircuits. Sometimes it may be necessary to update the software (software) - flashing FLASH or EEPROM.
Owners of the LE32A556P1 TV are recommended to repair only qualified specialists with experience! Self-repair attempts without the appropriate knowledge and skills can lead to serious negative consequences!

PSU Advanced
The power module BN44-00208A is made using a Power Factor Correction (PFC) scheme to eliminate multiple AC harmonics introduced into the power supply by the device. The PFC assembly is a Step-Up Converter based on a FAN7530 PWM controller that evenly distributes high-frequency impulses of the charging current of the electrolytic capacitor of the rectifier filter of the mains voltage over a period of 50 Hz. The current of its charge in this case will already be determined not by its reactance (usually 10-30 ohms for the network frequency), but by the elements of the converter. As a result, a change in the amplitude of the pulses (envelope) of the consumed current of the converter will repeat the shape and phase of the input sinusoidal voltage. The availability of the increased voltage (about + 380V) in the operating mode on the capacitor of the line filter indicates the serviceability of the PFC node.

Main features of the SAMSUNG LE32A556P1 device:
Installed matrix (LCD panel) LTF320HA01 A04 or LTF320HA03.
The matrix control uses the Timing Controller (T-CON) 320HAC2LV0.0.
To power the backlight, an SSI320-16B01 inverter is used, it is controlled by the OZ9968SN PWM controller. A transformer LT-3216 is installed in the inverter converter.
The necessary supply voltages for all nodes of the SAMSUNG LE32A556P1 TV are generated by the BN44-00208A power supply module or its analogs using microcircuits MC33067P, FAN7530 (PFC), FSQ0365RN (Standby) and power switches of the type 9N50, 11N60 (PFC).
MainBoard - the main board (motherboard) is a BN41-00974B module, using the chips MT8226, MT8291E, NTP-3100, WT61P8, SDP72, D61211GM, HYB25DC256163CE-4, K4T56163QT, TMDS351 and others.
Tuner TDHG6-K10A BN40-00120A provides the reception of television programs and tuning to channels.

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.
These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.
While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.
