If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.
These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.
While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

General repair guidelines for TV LCD
An external examination of the external and internal elements should be carried out in a timely manner before the start of dismantling operations. Many visible changes in the state of the elements make it possible to determine the future direction of the troubleshooting. In some cases, faulty elements are visible to the naked eye, for example, charred resistors or swollen metal-ceramic capacitors, or electrolytic in rectifier filters. Ring cracks formed in the soldering of the terminals of transformers or heating elements of the circuit are also frequent sources of many malfunctions with a variety of external manifestations.
Faults in the BN44-00208A power supply module can be expressed in different ways, for example, SAMSUNG LE32A558P3F does not turn on at all and the control lamps on its front panel do not light up and do not blink, and there are no signs of operability. When repairing the power supply, it is advisable to start the diagnostics by checking the mains fuse and the electrolytic capacitors of the filters of the converter secondary rectifiers. In the event of a fuse breaking, the reason should be sought in the power semiconductor elements of the pulse converter of the main power supply. First of all, it is necessary to check the diodes of the rectifier bridge of the mains voltage and the power key (s) of the converter 9N50, 11N60 (PFC) The complete inoperability of the power supply unit can be caused by a short circuit in the power elements in the primary circuit, followed by an open fuse, or a short circuit in the loads.
The reasons for the breakdown of the power switch in switching power supplies (IIPS) can be different, for example, a malfunction of semiconductor cells or electrolytic capacitors in the stabilization circuits of the primary circuit, as well as a failure in the operation of the PWM controller chip MC33067P, FAN7530 (PFC), FSQ0365RN (Standby) or breakage of resistors in its harness.
If the SAMSUNG LE32A558P3F TV does not have an image, but there is sound, make sure that the backlight power converter (inverter) is working properly. It is also necessary to check the electrolytic capacitors of the filter of the BP secondary rectifiers (power supply) for an overstated ESR. When disabling the inverter protection (to enable diagnostics), special care must be taken in view of the risk of failure of the power elements. After completing all repair work, it is imperative to restore the protection circuits for full and safe further operation of the TV by the user.
The motherboard BN44-00974B MT8226 EMM is subject to verification if there is no reaction to the remote control and function buttons, the standby indicator blinks or lights up continuously. In such cases, if the converters or power regulators of the microcircuit are working, a software update may be necessary.
If you suspect a malfunction of the BN40-00120A tuner, first of all, you need to verify the correctness of the software, as well as the presence of the necessary voltage levels and impulses of data exchange with the processor via the I2C bus at the corresponding terminals of the tuner.
It should be remembered! Attempts to repair the TV SAMSUNG LE32A558P3F, in the absence of the necessary qualifications and experience, are categorically not recommended and are fraught with negative consequences, up to the complete non-repairability of the device!

BN41-00974B can be used in TVs:
SAMSUNG LE32A556P1 LE32A556P1F (Panel LTF320HA01 A04), SAMSUNG LE37A552 LE37A552P3R (Panel T370HW02 V.4), SAMSUNG LE37A656A1 LE37A656A1FXRU (Panel T370HW02 V6), SAMSUNG LE32A558P3F (Panel LTF320HA01), SAMSUNG LE40A656A1F (Panel LTF400HC01 A02), SAMSUNG LE37A615A3F LE37A615 (Panel T370HW02 V.4), SAMSUNG LE40A556P1F (Panel V400H1-L03 REV C1), SAMSUNG LE40A558P3F LE40A558 (Panel LTF400HA03), SAMSUNG LE32A656A1F (Panel LTF320HA04).
PSU Advanced
The LE32A558P3F model uses a BN44-00208A power supply unit using the PFC (Power Factor Correction) node - an active filter of the highest harmonics of the current consumption. In fact, this is a boost converter based on the FAN7530 PWM controller, which eliminates the charge current of the electrolytic capacitor of the rectifier filter directly from the network through open diodes, when its charging current is determined by its reactance.
As a result of the operation of the converter, the envelope of the high-frequency pulses of the input current of the converter will repeat the shape and phase of the input voltage. The health of the PFC node can be indirectly judged by the presence of an increased DC voltage (about + 380V) on the capacitor of the rectifier network in operating mode.
The appearance of the power supply
Main features of the SAMSUNG LE32A558P3F device:
Installed matrix (LCD panel) LTF320HA01 or T315HW01.
The matrix control uses the Timing Controller (T-CON) 31T05-C02.
To power the backlight used inverter SSI320-166B01V.03.
The necessary supply voltages for all nodes of the SAMSUNG LE32A558P3F TV are generated by the BN44-00208A power supply module or its analogs using MC33067P, FAN7530 (PFC), FSQ0365RN (Standby) microchips and power switches of the 9N50, 11N60 (PFC) type.
MainBoard - the main board (motherboard) is a BN41-00974B module, using the chips MT8226, MT8291E, NTP-3100, WT61P8, SDP72, D61211GM, HYB25DC256163CE-4, K4T56163QT, TMDS351 and others.
The tuner BN40-00120A provides the reception of television programs and tuning to channels.
