REPAIRING AND NOT THROWING AWAY

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

In Brief: On this site you will find pictures and technical information about Service Modes, Circuit Diagrams, Firmware Update procedure, Disassemble procedure, Universal remote control set-up codes, Troubleshooting and more....

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.

These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Happy repairing!

General repair guidelines for TV LCD LED
Possible malfunctions
- LG 32LJ500V TV does not turn on. There are no signs of operability. The indicators on the front panel do not light or flash, the TV does not respond to the remote control and control buttons.
Often in such cases, the 715G7801-P01-W10-0H2H power module is faulty. It is necessary to measure its secondary output voltages, and if they are absent, check the power switches and rectifier diodes in the converters for a short circuit.
In case of any breakdown of semiconductors in the secondary circuits, the converter can usually work normally in emergency short circuit mode. There are no output voltages. And with a short circuit in the power elements of the primary circuit, as a rule, the mains fuse breaks and less often the current sensor at the source of the key.
The breakdown of Mos-Fet keys used in pulsed sources is often caused by malfunctions of other elements, for example, in the power supply circuit of a PWM controller, in frequency-setting or damping circuits, as well as in Negative Stabilization Feedback. PWM microcircuits are usually checked by replacement with new ones, or obviously working.
- There is no image, there is sound, it is responding to the remote control. Or immediately after turning on for a second, the image may appear and immediately disappear.
In some of these cases, the malfunction is caused by a lack of backlighting on the display. The reason for this may be a break in the LED circuit, or a problem in stabilizing their power supply.
It is impossible to detect a break in the LED line without disassembling the panel with a simple multimeter. The LEDs are connected in series and to open their transitions, a voltage of several tens of volts is required. Ideally, a current source is suitable for such purposes. You can open the panel and check each LED separately. Typically, Chinese multimeters light up a single 3-volt LED, if you connect the probes in the forward direction to it (red probe to the anode, black to the cathode). In dual 6-volt LEDs, the PN junction of its emergency zener diode can serve as a health indicator. In the event of a LED malfunction, its zener diode will either be cut off or broken into short-circuit.
- The TV does not turn on, does not respond to the remote control. The indicator blinks or signals standby mode.
Repair or diagnostics of the 715G8524-M01-B00-004T motherboard should begin by checking the stabilizers and power converters needed to power the chips and matrix. If necessary, update or replace the software (software). In cases of complex repairs of MB (SSB) and in the presence of the necessary skills and equipment, sometimes it may be necessary to replace its NAND chips: W29N01GVSIAA and other possible faulty components. Malfunctions associated with the application of BGA soldering technologies are usually easily diagnosed by the heating method.
The malfunction of the TDQS-A751F (L) & TDSY-G430D tuner is established after checking the software and all supply voltages at its terminals. The data exchange of the tuner with the processor via the I2C bus can be controlled by an oscilloscope.
Attention! For users and owners of 32LJ500V TVs who do not have the appropriate qualifications, knowledge and experience, we strongly recommend against attempting self-repair in order to avoid negative consequences that could lead to complete non-repairability of the device.

The TV uses a 715G7801-P01-W10-0H2H power supply.
Dimensions: with stand 728x475x183 mm, without stand 728x436x78 mm.
TV weight: with stand: 5 kg, without stand: 4.9 kg.
Attention! Panel TPT315B5-HVN05.A LED TV LG 32LJ500V is an expensive and unreliable element.
Do not allow any impact on the glass and pressure on the screen surface to avoid damage to the LED panel!
It is also unsafe for liquid to spill onto the screen. Sometimes one drop is enough if it drips down the glass onto the cables to make the TV unrepairable.

The LED screen of the LG 32LJ500V TV requires respect from users. The glass can crack even if it is lightly hit by a child's plastic toy.

Excessive pressure on the screen surface over any part of the area is equally dangerous.
If the screen is damaged, the LED panel TPT315B5-HVN05.A must be replaced.
