REPAIRING AND NOT THROWING AWAY

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

In Brief: On this site you will find pictures and technical information about Service Modes, Circuit Diagrams, Firmware Update procedure, Disassemble procedure, Universal remote control set-up codes, Troubleshooting and more....

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.

These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Happy repairing!

HITACHI 37LD6000 / 37LD6000A [NOISE FROM THE SCREEN AT CINEMA MODE]

HITACHI 37LD6000 / 37LD6000A [NOISE FROM THE SCREEN AT CINEMA MODE]

A type of mechanical noise heard from the secreen, when the set  to Cenema mode.

The cause is due to high backlight setting.  Usually backlight settings to this mode will be set to full [100] by factory defaults. Backlight settings to different modes are [Default]- Dynamic = 00 / Natural = 50 / Cenema = 100.
When you select the picture mode to Cenema, backlight settings will also come to 100 [full], automatically. At this full brightness setting, the backlight inverter board will forced to work at full load, and the inverter transformer, which generate high voltage to backlighs, may make noise [High frequency]. Set the backlight intensity at Cenema mode to somewhere between 54 to 60 will make the set out of noise. This intensity can be automatically set.  To set it to pre determined value, you have to enter the service mode widow.
Be very carefull when you do this adjustment. Never adjust any other value set in these windows, other than backlight adjustment.
To enter the service mode, you must have the original remote control.
There are three different softwares loaded to these model Hitachi sets. So, to enter the service mode, there are three different codes too.  You have to check these three different codes.  Only one will work.
The codes are [ 4725 / 1267 & 1461].
Proceedings;
Press the 'Menu" button on the remote control. Enter codes one by one, until the service menu window appears on the screen.
Select the Picture Adjustment Mode, and enter with Vol + .
A second service menu will appear.  You can see the backlight adjustment option here.  You will see the backlight intensity is set to full [100].
Select the backlight adjustment option, and reduce the value to [58] or [59].
To memorize and exit this settings, press Standby Button on the remtoe control
That is all.  Hereafter, when the set is selected to Cenema mode, the brightness level will come only up to the set value. There will be no noise, and set will work silent
