REPAIRING AND NOT THROWING AWAY

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

In Brief: On this site you will find pictures and technical information about Service Modes, Circuit Diagrams, Firmware Update procedure, Disassemble procedure, Universal remote control set-up codes, Troubleshooting and more....

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.

These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Happy repairing!
Today, the West is headed for the abyss. For the ultimate fate of our disposable society is for that society itself to be disposed of. And this will happen sooner, rather than later.

NO POWER PROBLEM
No power problem occurs when you power on the unit.
Solution
Replace X100, IC101, IC103.
How to troubleshoot (Countermeasure)
1) Check X100 (Crystal).
Ö If it does not oscillate, change X100.
2) Check IC103 (Reset IC).
Ö If its output voltage is not more than +2.7 V, change IC103.
3) Check IC101 (Micom).
Ö After power is on if the pin8 of IC101 is not ‘High’, change IC101.
But, the new μ-com IC need to write program.
SPEAKER NO AUDIO OUTPUT
No audio output problem occurs when you power on the unit.
Solution
Replace IC700.
How to troubleshoot (Countermeasure)
1) Check IC700 Pin1(VCC_12 V) for driving the gate of IC700 (AMP IC).
a. If +12 V is low, there is possible for AMP IC to be damaged.
b. Remove bead among L700, L703.
When removed bead, if +12 V is recovered, the IC connected to it was damaged.
c. Replace the IC with a new one.
2) Check the impedance between AMP PWM output & GND.
a. If the impedance is about 0 Ω, the IC must be damaged.
b. Replace it with a new one (AMP IC).
USB NO OUTPUT
When USB insert, USB no detect on the unit.
Solution
Replace IC902.
How to troubleshoot (Countermeasure)
1) Please check Harness connection between Main(CN103) and Top(CN370) BD.
2) If it is OK, please check two ICs below.
3) Please check IC902 of Main BD.
Ö Pin2 : 12 V, L907 : 5.6 V
4) Please check IC362 of TOP BD.
Ö Pin2 : 5.6 V, Pin3 : 5 V
5) If it is not OK, replace IC902 or IC362.
NO BOOTING
After you turn on the unit and displayed message in the following order (HELLO > VOL XX > CD or USB...etc) on LCD, it will not display other message on LCD, and it will not boot-up normally.
Solution
Replace X500.
How to troubleshoot (Countermeasure)
1) Please check the soldering status of 12 MHz crystal (X500).
2) Please check the frequency of 12 MHz crystal (X500).
3) If the crystal doesn’t oscillate, replace X500.
4) After changing it, if the set is still not booting, replace MAIN board assembly
