REPAIRING AND NOT THROWING AWAY

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

In Brief: On this site you will find pictures and technical information about Service Modes, Circuit Diagrams, Firmware Update procedure, Disassemble procedure, Universal remote control set-up codes, Troubleshooting and more....

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.

These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Happy repairing!
Today, the West is headed for the abyss. For the ultimate fate of our disposable society is for that society itself to be disposed of. And this will happen sooner, rather than later.

MT8226
The MT8226 is a highly integrated chip with an ultra high-end HDTV-ready solution for the flat panel TV manufacturers. It supports flat panel TV multimedia video/audio input and output formats and future 1080P HDTV as well.  The MT8226 includes an advanced 3D comb filter of the TV decoder retrieving the best video from composite signals and embedded HDTV/VGA decoders perfectly reproducing the high bandwidth input signals. Also, a 24/16/8 bit digital port has been added that can accept a variety of external digital video inputs. 4th generation motion-adaptive de-interlacer converts interlace to progressive video. In addition, a 2D graphic processor can overlay on screen display (OSD) on the progressive video. Advanced full function color processing with a full 10-bit path provides high-quality video contents. Two independent flexible scalers can simultaneously process two different video sources and provide the wide adoption for various flat panels. An on-chip audio processor with a lip sync control decodes analog signals received from the tuner, delivering high-quality post-processed sound effect to customers. An on-chip microprocessor reduces the system BOM and shortens the schedule of UI design by high level C program.
MT8291
The MediaTek MT8291E-L is a highly integrated stereo audio CODEC. The MT8291E-L performs stereo analog-to-digital and two digital-to-analog conversions with single-ended analog voltage input and output.  It’s up to 24-bit serial values at sample rates up to 192 kHz. A 7:1 stereo input multiplexer and an automatic level control are included. The PGA is available for line inputs and provides gain/attenuation of 21dB in 0.5 steps. Two DAC outputs reach 2Vrms in a 12V supply environment including a headphone, two left/right line outputs with volume gain/attenuation from -127 dB to +12 dB and digital de-emphasis function. Sampled data is transmitted through the serial audio interface at various rates from 32 kHz to 192 kHz. For audio clock applications, the MT8291E-L supports master, slave modes and three data formats in the serial interface. Two individual sets of I2S ports including three clocks and digital data for each simultaneously support different sample rates for the ADC and DACs and then output from DAC1 and DAC2 independently.
NTP-3100
The NTP-3100 is a single chip full digital audio amplifier including power stages for stereo amplifier system. NTP-3100 is integrated with versatile digital audio signal processing functions, high-fidelity fully digital PWM modulator and two high-power full bridge MOSFET stages. The NTP-3100 receives 2-channel serial audio data with sampling frequency from 8 kHz to 192 kHz. It delivers 2x20W in stereo mode without heat sink.  The NTP-3100 has mixer and biquad filters which can be used to implement the essential audio signal processing functions like loudness control, loud speaker response compensation and parametric equalizers.  All the functions of the NTP-3100 can be controlled by internal register values via I2C host interface bus.
TMDS351
The TMDS351 is a 3-port digital video interface (DVI) or high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) switch that allows up to 3 DVI or HDMI ports to be switched to a single display terminal. Four TMDS channels, one hot plug detector, and a digital display control (DDC) interface are supported on each port. Each TMDS channel supports signaling rates up to 2.5 Gbps to allow 1080p resolution in 12-bit color depth.
Using the WISELINK Function
This function enables you to view and listen to photo (JPEG) and audio files (MP3) saved on a USB Mass Storage Class (MSC) device. Press the POWER button on the remote control or front panel. Connect a USB device containing JPEG and/or MP3 files to the WISELINK jack (USB jack) on the side of the TV. If you enter the WISELINK mode with no USB device connected the message There is no device connected will appear. In this case, insert the  USB device, exit the screen by pressing the WISE LINK button on the remote control and enter the WISELINK screen again.
Only alphanumeric characters must be used as a folder name or filename (photo, music).
The file system only supports FAT16/32 (The NTFS file system is not supported)
Certain types of USB Digital camera and audio devices may not be compatible with this TV.
Wiselink only supports the USB Mass Storage Class device (MSC). MSC is a Mass Storage Class Bulk- Only Transport device.
Examples of MSC are Thumb drives and Flash Card Readers (Both USB HDD and HUB are not supported.)
Before connecting your device to the TV, please back up your files to prevent them from damage or loss of data. Recommended image resolution for Wiselink is 600 mega pixels.
Connect directly to the USB port of your TV. If you are using a separate cable connection, there may be a USB Compatibility problem.
Only MP3 and JPEG file formats are supported.
The Wiselink mp3 format only supports music files with a high sampling frequency (32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, or 48 kHz).
It is recommend the sequential jpeg format. Progressive jpeg uses a lot of memory and decoding may fail.
Do not disconnect the USB device while it is (in).
Neither PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol) nor MTP (Media Transfer Pprotocol) is supported.
The playing duration of an mp3 file may be displayed as ‘00:00:00’ if its playing time information is not found at the start of the file.
The higher the resolution of the image, the longer it takes to display on the screen.
If the horizontal resolution of an image is higher than 5000, it cannot be decoded.
If the vertical resolution of an image is higher than 4000, it cannot be decoded.
