REPAIRING AND NOT THROWING AWAY

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

Richtige Fernseher haben Röhren!

In Brief: On this site you will find pictures and technical information about Service Modes, Circuit Diagrams, Firmware Update procedure, Disassemble procedure, Universal remote control set-up codes, Troubleshooting and more....

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.

These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Happy repairing!

General repair guidelines for TV LCD LED
Repair of TVs, as well as other devices, it is advisable to start with an external examination. According to some external signs of a change in the state of some elements, it is sometimes possible to make assumptions about the nature of the defect, as well as determine the further direction of the troubleshooting. Useful tips can include swollen capacitors, ring cracks formed in the soldered terminals, a charred paint layer on the resistors, signs of overheating of the board, and many other external signs that are familiar to experienced repairmen.
If the TV does not turn on, no indicators on its front panel are lit or blinking. Also, if the TV does not respond to the remote control and buttons, does not make any sounds or any signs of operability when turned on, there is a certain probability that the power module is defective and needs repair. Sometimes with similar manifestations a problem can only occur in the absence of standby power. When diagnosing and repairing the power supply, first of all, replace the swollen filter capacitors of the secondary rectifiers and check the fuse and, if it is broken, it is necessary to identify the cause. Often in such cases, an avalanche (thermal) breakdown is detected in the power semiconductor elements of the module — rectifier diodes and transistors in the primary circuit.
Power switches in switching power supplies (SMPS) fail extremely rarely for no reason and, if they are broken, it is necessary to look for a malfunction in the stabilization circuits by checking electrolytic capacitors, semiconductor devices, and resistors in the primary circuit. The cause may be a malfunction of the PWM controller chip, which can only be checked by replacing it with a new or obviously working one.
If there is no image when you turn on the MYSTERY MTV-3220LW, or it appears and immediately disappears, but there is sound, most likely there is a malfunction in the backlight LED circuit of the V315H4-LE7 panel, or in their power converter.
To check the health of the LEDs and contact connections in their power circuit, the panel must be disassembled.
It is impossible to check the LED line for breaks without disassembling the panel with a multimeter or tester. For these purposes, it is necessary to open all series-connected PN junctions and a voltage of the order of tens of volts will be required, and ideally, a current source.
On the motherboard MSDV3209-ZC01-01 (D), in case of a malfunction, you should first check the performance of all the stabilizers and power converters of the microcircuits, and also, if necessary, update the software (software).
When repairing an MB board, you need to check its components SPI Flash: MX25L6406E; . Defective items should be replaced. If BGA chips are installed, their malfunction is usually localized by heating.
If there is no reception of television channels, but the TV works properly from external devices, first of all you need to check the voltage of the tuner DT58WT-3RB-E and update the software.
It should be remembered! Attempts to repair the MYSTERY MTV-3220LW TV, in the absence of the necessary qualifications and experience, are categorically not recommended and are fraught with negative consequences, up to the complete non-repairability of the device!
