Possible Fault Findings

- LG 50UH630V TV does not turn on and does not show any signs of performance at all. No reaction to remote control and front panel control buttons.

Breakdown of the Mos-Fet switches used in switching supplies is often caused by faults in other elements, such as the PWM power supply circuit, the frequency-retaining or damping circuits, and the Negative Feedback Stabilization circuit. PWM PFC, PWM chips are usually checked by replacing them with new ones or with ones known to be in good working order.

- No picture, sound, there is, the remote control reacts. Or immediately after switching on for a second the image may appear and then immediately disappear.

In some of these cases the malfunction is caused by the absence of display backlight. Very often the cause is LED failure (breakage, short circuit...) or 6202B000A1800, 6202B000A2800 connectors of strips, less often the LED driver becomes defective.
When diagnosing you should keep in mind that it is impossible to check the breakage in the chain of LED strips without disassembling the panel, using a tester or multimeter. To open all the PN-junctions connected in series, you will need a voltage of about several tens of volts, and ideally - a current source. After opening the panel, you can check each LED separately. Typically, Chinese multimeters will light up a single 3 volt LED slightly if you connect the probes to it in a forward direction. For twin 6 volt LEDs, the PN junction of its fault stabilizer can be a good indicator. If the LED is faulty, it will either be broken or shorted.

- The TV set will not turn on, the LED will indicate standby or operation mode, or it will blink.

If the LG 50UH630V has no picture but has sound, often the V500DJ02-KS5 display backlight simply isn't working. Moreover, in LED televisions usually fail LEDs inside the panel, less often the LED-driver.
In such cases, you can see a barely noticeable image when external light hits the screen.

But quite often the MainBoard EAX66818104 is defective, and software failure is also possible.
Then first it is necessary to check the panel power supply voltage, fuses on the T-CON board, as well as the supply and reference voltages of the column and line drivers - VGH, VGL, Vcom.
If these measurements are within normal limits, it is necessary to trace by oscilloscope the LVDS signals from MainBoard EAX66818104, as well as synchronizing signals to the driver stubs.

Filled or unsuccessfully washed LED TV screens can be restored in about half of the cases, usually, if there was not significant damage in the cables and panel strips.

Repair or diagnosis of the motherboard EAX66818104 should begin with checking the stabilizers and power converters needed to power the chips and matrix. If necessary, software (software) should be updated or replaced. When repairing the MB board, check its components CPU: M16, Audio: NTP7515D. Defective elements must be replaced. If the chips with BGA soldering technology are used, the problem in its implementation is detected by the method of local heating of the chip.

Warning. The V500DJ2-KS5 LED TV panel is an expensive and fragile part of LG 50UH630V TV.
Do not allow any impact on the glass and pressure on the screen surface to avoid damaging the LED panel!
Also it is not safe to get liquid on the screen. Sometimes one drop is enough if it drips down the glass onto the cables and the TV becomes unrepairable.
