SETTING SERVICE MODE
- Standby mode (Power off).
- Press the following buttons on the remote commander within a second of each other: [DISPLAY à Channel 5 à Sound Volume + à Power]
- Press [1] or [2] on the Remote Commander to select the item.
- Press [3] or [6] on the Remote Commander to change the data.
- Press MUTING then ENTER to write into memory.
- Press [8] then ENTER on the Remote Commander to initialize.
- Carry out Step 1 when adjusting ID’s 0-7 and when replacing and adjusting IC003.
- Press MUTING then ENTER to write into memory.
- DO NOT turn off set until SERVICE appears
MEMORY WRITE CONFIRMATION METHOD
- After adjustment, pull out the plug from the AC outlet, then replace the plug in the AC outlet again.
- Turn the power switch ON and set to Service Mode.
- Call the adjusted items again to confirm they were adjusted.
SUB CONTRAST ADJUSTMENT [RDRV]
- Input a color-bar signal and set the level to 75%.
- Set in Pro mode.
- Activate the Service Adjustment Mode.
- Set GON and BON items. Using 3 and 6 set each to the following values. Leave RON set to “1”.
- Select SCON with 1 and 4 .
- Connect an oscilloscope probe to C Board, CN705 Pin 3 Blue Out.
- Adjust the value of SCON with 3 and 6 for 1.90 ± 0.01Vpp.
- Reset GON and BON values to “1”.
- R ON: ON (1): G ON: ON (1): B ON: ON (1)
- Press MUTING then ENTER to save into the memory.
- After adjusting SCON, if still out of xpec, use RDRV resistor as a fine adjustment.
WHITE BALANCE ADJUSTMENT: White
balance should be adjusted after Sub Contrast because RDRV is also used in Sub
Contrast Adjustment.
- Set program palette to STANDARD and push RESET.
- Input an entire white signal.
- Set to Service Adjustment Mode.
- Set the PICTURE and BRIGHT to minimum.
- Adjust with SBRT if necessary.
- Set RCUT to “14”.
- Select GCUT and BCUT with 3 and 5.
- Adjust by pressing 1 and 4 for the best white balance.
- Set the PICTURE and BRIGHT to maximum.
- Select GDRV and BDRV with and .
- Adjust with 3 and 6 for the best white balance.
- Write into the memory by pressing 3 then 5.
Repeat steps 1-12 for GDR4, BDR4, GCU4 and BCU4 using Video 4 input
