These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution.In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

# No picture under the weak electric field of DVB-T
# Block noise appears or No receiving the Signal under the multi pass setting.
Corrective action; Firmware upgrading through interface PCB (FWA1209)
Firmware is subject to the model as below.
As for 32AV555D, to check the panel information, enter the service mode.  And then, press the button on the remote controller in sequence of “9” and “9”.
Confirm if Panel is SHARP or LPL on Version check mode as shown figure.
Firmware updating procedure
NOTE: PERSONAL AND CUSTOM PREFERENCES WILL BE LOST UPON COMPLETSION OF THIS FIRMWARE UPDATE. PLESE MAKE NOTE OF ANY PREFERENCE  SETTINGS PRIOR TO STARING THIS FIRMWARE UPDATE.
1. Plug in AC connector and Turn “ON” the TV.
2. Unplug the AC connector while TV is “ON”.
3. A socket for Interface PC Board is located at the left side of HDMI Terminal on the back of the TV. Open the lid covering the socket as shown figure.
4. Connect the USB memory to the Interface PC Board, and insert the Board to the socket.
5. Plug in AC connector to begin the Firmware upgrade.
6. A status bar will be displayed as shown Figure.
7. Upon completion, unplug the AC connector.
8. Pull out the Interface PC board from the Socket, and close the lid.
9. Plug in AC connector.
10. Writing of Ship out Data (ex-factory data for each Destination) starts automatically as shown figure.
Below is an example of a European Continental version.
11. Upon completion, “OK” is displayed as shown.
12. Unplug the AC connecter and the plug in SC connecter.
13. Press “Menu” button on the remote controller.
Via UP/DOWN keys on the remote controller, select
è “Set up”
è “Reset TV”
 Note; “Reset TV” function may not be visible until you select it through “Set up” menu.
14. Press the “Enter” button on the remote controller.
15. Use the right allow keys to select “Yes” and press” Enter” on the remote controller to reset the TV.
16. TV will reboot automatically and afterwards the Quick Setup Screen will be displayed. Follow the instructions on the screen and consult the owner’s manual for initial setup Setting.
17. To check the firmware version, press the “Menu” button on the remote controller and go “Set up” and “system information” in sequence.
18. Confirm if version is Ver T64.344 on system information.
