If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.
These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.
While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

General recommendations for repairing TV LCD
Repair of all electronic devices, including the PHILIPS TV, made on the basis of the LC7.2E LA chassis, it is advisable to start with an external examination of its external and internal elements. It often happens that visible damage to elements or connections helps determine the direction of the troubleshooting. Ring cracks in the soldering of the leads of the heating elements, swollen electrolytic capacitors, a charred paint layer on the resistors - all this for the repairman can be a significant clue in the assumptions about the causes and consequences of the malfunction.
PLCD300P3 24573 power supply module malfunctions can be expressed in different ways, for example, PHILIPS 42PFL7682D does not turn on at all and the control lights on its front panel do not light up and do not blink, there are no signs of operability. It should be noted that with the same external manifestations, the processor power regulator (converter) may be faulty. First of all, it is necessary to replace the swollen capacitors of the rectifier filters, if any. If the mains fuse is broken in the power supply, in most cases a breakdown of the power key (s) is detected, which can be integrated with the PWM controller, or a separate field-effect transistor can be used. The rectifier bridge diodes and the electrolytic capacitor of the mains rectifier filter should also be checked.
In most cases, key breakdowns in switching power supplies (SMPS) do not occur for no reason and you should look for other faulty circuit elements that could provoke a defect. This can be dried electrolytic capacitors in the primary circuit, and faulty damper elements, as well as dangling resistors or punched semiconductor elements in the stabilization circuits. Possible defective PWM chip from the manufacturer.
If PHILIPS 42PFL7682D does not have an image, but there is sound and the TV is controlled from the remote control, a malfunction in the display backlight nodes is likely. The lamps or the power converter - inverter may be faulty. Often in such cases, when you turn on the TV, an image appears and immediately disappears. First of all, it is necessary to verify the operability of the electrolytic capacitors of the rectifier filter supplying the inverter, and check the LCD lamps by connecting external and obviously serviceable for diagnosis to the connectors. All necessary precautions must be observed when disabling the inverter protection during diagnostics and not leaving it disconnected after the repair is completed.
In cases of attempts to repair the SSB DVB LCD motherboard, it is necessary to check the operability of the stabilizers or power converters of its microcircuits and, if possible, update the software (software). BGA chips can in most cases be diagnosed by local heating.
Once again, remind users! Attempts to self-repair a PHILIPS 42PFL7682D TV without the appropriate qualifications and experience can lead to its complete non-repairability!

PHILIPS 26HF5445/10 (Panel V260B1-L03 code 068 p/n: 932224937682), PHILIPS 37PFL7662D/12 (Panel T370HW02 V.1), PHILIPS 42PFL7662D/12 (Panel LC420WU5 code 093), PHILIPS 42PFL7682D/12 (Panel LC420WU5), PHILIPS 47PFL5522D/12 (Panel LC470WX1-SLA2 code 109 p/n: 932225331682 (LGPH) B ), PHILIPS 32PFL5522D/12 (Panel LK315T3LZ53).
PSU Advanced
The PLCD300P3 power supply module is made using the Power Factor Correction (PFC) scheme to eliminate multiple AC harmonics introduced into the power supply by the device. The PFC assembly is a Step-Up Converter based on the L6562D PWM controller, which evenly distributes high-frequency impulses of the charging current of the electrolytic capacitor of the rectifier filter of the mains voltage over a period of 50 Hz. The current of its charge in this case will already be determined not by its reactance (usually 10-30 ohms for the network frequency), but by the elements of the converter. As a result, a change in the amplitude of the pulses (envelope) of the consumed current of the converter will repeat the shape and phase of the input sinusoidal voltage. The availability of an increased voltage (about + 380V) in the operating mode on the capacitor of the line filter indicates the serviceability of the PFC node.
The appearance of the power supply
Main features of the PHILIPS 42PFL7682D device:
Installed matrix (LCD panel) LC420WU5.
To power the backlight, an inverter 6632L-0471A is used, it is controlled by the BD9897FS PWM controller. A transformer BET-2544-F42L is installed in the inverter converter. As power elements of the inverter, keys of the 2SK4075 type are used.
The necessary supply voltages for all nodes of the PHILIPS 42PFL7682D TV are generated by the PLCD300P3 power supply module or its analogs using TEA1601T (16), TEA1533AT (14), L6562D (PFC) microcircuits and power switches of the type F11NM60N, P4NK60ZFP, P6NK60ZFP, 2.
MainBoard - the main board (motherboard) is a module 313912362611, using PNX8314HS / 102 microcircuits; K4S281632I; M29W320ET; M30300AGP and others.
The TD1316AF / IHP-2 tuner provides television reception and channel tuning.
