These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution.In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

  The TC58NVG0S3HTAI0 is a single 3.3V 1Gbit (1,140,850,688bits) NAND Electrically Erasable and Programmable Read-Only Memory (NAND EEPROM) organized as (2048 +128) bytes × 64 pages × 1024blocks. The device has a 2176-byte static registers which allow program and read data to be transferred between the register and the memory cell array in 2176-byte increments. The Erase operation is implemented in a single block unit (128 Kbytes + 8 Kbytes: 2176 bytes × 64 pages). The TC58NVG0S3HTAI0 is a serial-type memory device which utilizes the I/O pins for both address and data input/output as well as for command inputs.   The 74HC4052 is a high-speed Si-gate CMOS device and is pin compatible with the HEF4052B. The device is specified in compliance with JEDEC standard no. 7A. The 74HC4052 is a dual 4-channel analog ltiplexer/demultiplexer with common select logic. Each multiplexer has four independent inputs/outputs (pins nY0 to nY3) and a common input/output (pin nZ). The common channel select logics include two digital select inputs (pins S0 and S1) and an active LOW enable input (pin E). When pin E = LOW, one of the four switches is selected (low-impedance ON-state) with pins S0 and S1. When pin E = HIGH, all switches are in the high-impedance OFF-state, independent of pins S0 and S1. VCC and GND are the supply voltage pins for the digital control inputs (pins S0, S1 and E). The VCC to GND ranges are 2.0 V to 10.0 V for the 74HC4052.The analog inputs/outputs (pins nY0 to nY3 and nZ) can swing between VCC as a positive limit and VEE as a negative limit. VCC – VEE may not exceed 10.0 V. For operation as a digital multiplexer/demultiplexer, VEE is connected to GND (typically ground).

  The TAS5721 is an efficient, digital-input audio amplifier for driving 2.0 speaker systems configured as a bridge tied load (BTL), 2.1 systems with two satellite speakers and one subwoofer, or in PBTL systems driving a single speaker configured as a parallel bridge tied load (PBTL). One serial data input allows processing of up to two discrete audio channels and seamless integration to most digital audio processors and MPEG decoders. The device accepts a wide range of input data formats and sample rates. A fully programmable data path routes these channels to the internal speaker drivers.
  The TAS5721 is a slave-only device, receiving all clocks from external sources. The TAS5721 operates with a PWM carrier frequency between a 384-kHz switching rate and a 288-KHz switching rate, depending on the input sample rate. Oversampling, combined with a fourth-order noise shaper, provides a flat noise floor and excellent dynamic range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.An integrated ground centered DirectPath™ combination headphone amplifier and 2VRMS line driver is integrated in the TAS5721.
IC9101 (SSC9522S-TL)
  The SSC9522S is a controller IC (SMZ method) for half-bridge resonant type power supply, incorporating a floating drive circuit for High-side MOSFET drive.
SMZ = Soft-switched Multi-resonant Zero Current switch.
  All switching periods work with soft switching operation.
The IC is in SOP18 package, and suitable for high performance power supply system with small size, high efficiency and low noise, because for various power supply specifications, more effective and easier design works are achievable with effective functions as the Automatic Dead Time Adjustment, the Uncontrollable Operation Detection and so on.
Uncontrollable Operation Detection = there are two areas in resonant circuit impedance; capacitance area and inductance area. The Uncontrollable Operation occurs in capacitance area (the frequency is lower than the resonant frequency, fO), the output voltage can not be controlled and the switching operation becomes hard switching.
ADC Adjustment and White Balance Adjustment
No need to do the ADC, do only white balance.
White balance adjustment: 
  Turn on the TV, and press the “Menu”, and  then press number key 1 + 9 + 9 + 9 and “PRE PR”, it will achieve the factory mode. Current Source is "component", and then choose Color temp as Warm / Normal / Cool, use remote control to choose “WD Pattern” for 80 .Then choose the Gain bar to adjust the R/G/B value, the temperature adjustment meet to the required specification range. (Note: MAX LV>230)
White balance value checking: 
  Check color temperature of AV,HDMI,VGA source is within the specifications, If not same, need to switch to the other source and adjust to the same. If same ,the OK white balance adjustment.
SOFTWARE UPDATE
  Before you start to upgrade new code, setup the environment first.
Here lists setup requirements, guides you to setup your environment.
  Connect to ISP Board to upgrade the boot loader.
  Use USB cable connecting PC & ISP board and use UART/HDMI cable connecting ISP board & MTK Board.
► Unzip USB2COM Driver .zip to C:\
► Unzip FlashTool .zip to C:\
Double click FlashTool.exe to start.
II. Set (MT53XX → RS232 → COM_Port → 115200 → Connect → FW_Upgrade → Nor Flash).
(Hint: In above RED highlight section, if your TV is SHARP_EU & SHARP_EU_2G you must select Nor Flash, and if your TV is SHARP_UK, you must select Nand Flash)
select (*_loader.bin) to Upgrade.
(Hint: If your TV is SHARP_UK, you must enter “ef” command in the “Load Bin File” field and Click ‘Upgrade’ button to erase Nand Flash memory at first, and next step to select *_loader.bin to Upgrade).
Connect to TV USB port to upgrade the software firmware.
I. Copy *.pkg file to USB drive at root directory.
II. Insert the USB drive to TV USB port.
III. TV AC power off → AC power on
IV. TV will upgrade by detecting the correct *.pkg file.
Hint: TV detects the RED prefix text of *.pkg file name to judge different models, the following is different models prefix text.
Example:
a)SHARP_2K14_MT5561_NUCLEUS_EU_V0.42.1_20131214.pkg : for SHARP EU
b)SHARP_2K14_MT5561_NUCLEUS_UK_V0.42.1_20131214.pkg : for SHARP UK
c)SHARP_2K14_MT5561_NUCLEUS_EU_2G_V0.42.1_20131214.pkg : for SHARP EU_2G
V. TV’s LED will ­ash during upgrade process, after finished upgrade process, TV will reboot by itself.
VI. Remove USB disk from TV.
VII. Check if the software version is correct.
(Menu → Setup → Version Info)
Connect by USB flash Memory
1) Put sowtware in USB memory. (do not put any other data except a software in the USB memory).
2) Disconnect the AC cord in the condition that TV is on (do not press any buttons on the TV).
3) Connect the USB memory to the TV.
4) Connect AC cord to the TV (do not press any buttons on the TV).
5) LED will be blinking (SW upgrade will be in progress).
 When the upgrade finishes, TV will show the picture and sound.
NB: Do not turn off the TV during the software upgrade.)
