General repair guidelines for TV LCD LED
Repair and diagnostics of any electronic device, in particular PHILIPS 40PFL7605H / 12, it is advisable to start with a careful external examination of internal and external elements. It often happens that visible damage to elements or connections helps determine the direction of the troubleshooting. In some cases, faulty elements can be seen with the naked eye, for example, charred resistors or swollen metal-ceramic capacitors, or electrolytic in rectifier filters. Ring cracks formed in the soldered terminals of transformers or heating elements of the circuit are also frequent sources of many malfunctions with a variety of external manifestations.
Malfunctions of the power supply module DPS-199DP A B 272217100981 00982 analogues, FSP-175-4FS01 can be expressed differently, for example, PHILIPS 40PFL7605H does not turn on at all and the control lamps on its front panel do not light up and do not blink, there are no signs of operability. It should be noted that with the same external manifestations, the processor power regulator (converter) may be faulty. Diagnostics and repair of the common power supply should always begin with a check of the mains fuse and the condition of the electrolytic capacitors of the secondary rectifier filters. Defective and swollen capacitors should be replaced with new ones. If the fuse breaks, it is advisable to check for a breakdown, first of all, all the power semiconductor elements of the converter and the diode bridge of the rectifier network, as well as the large electrolytic capacitor of the filter of the rectifier network.
The reasons for the breakdown of the power switch in pulsed power supplies (IIPS) can be different, for example, a malfunction of semiconductor cells or electrolytic capacitors in the stabilization circuits of the primary circuit, as well as a failure in the operation of the PWM controller chip or broken resistors in its bundle.
In cases where the PHILIPS 40PFL7605H TV has lost its image, and the sound is there and all other functions are operational, there is a possibility of a malfunction of the LED driver (converter for powering the TFT-LCD LK400D3LA93 (SRPJ) B 932227619682 panel backlight LEDs). When you turn on the TV, the image may appear briefly and disappear immediately. It must be borne in mind that with such manifestations the LEDs themselves also fail.
In most cases of lack of backlight, it becomes necessary to disassemble the panel in order to check the LEDs, connectors, loops and all contact connections. If one or several LEDs does not work in one line, therefore, they are broken and should be replaced.
It is impossible to check the LED line for breaks without disassembling the panel with a multimeter or tester. For these purposes, it is necessary to open all series-connected PN junctions and a voltage of the order of tens of volts will be required, and ideally, a current source.
The motherboard AS SSB TV550 EU7 310432862931, PL5B 310432862932 must be checked if there is no reaction to the remote control and function buttons, the standby indicator blinks or lights up constantly. In such cases, if the converters or power regulators of the microcircuit are working, a software update may be necessary.
We recommend the owners of the 40PFL7605H TV for repair only to qualified specialists with experience! Self-repair attempts without the appropriate knowledge and skills can lead to serious negative consequences!

PSU Advanced
The DPS-199DP power module is installed in the 40PFL7605H / 12 TV using the PFC (Power Factor Correction) scheme acting as an active filter to eliminate the higher harmonic components of the current consumption. The boost converter based on the NCP1608B PWM controller does not allow the input rectifier filter's electrolytic capacitor to be connected to the network directly through open diodes when the charge current determines its reactance (about 15-30 ohms at a frequency of 50 Hz). As a result of the conversion, the charging current of the capacitor will be determined in such a way that the envelope of the high-frequency pulses of the input current will repeat the phase and shape of the sine wave of the input voltage. The health check of the PFC unit is carried out by measuring the DC voltage on the capacitor of the rectifier network. In operating mode, it should be around 380V, in standby approximately 300V.
The appearance of the power supply
Main features of the PHILIPS 40PFL7605H device:
Installed matrix (LED panel) LK400D3LA93 (SRPJ) B p / n: 932227619682.
The matrix control uses the Timing Controller (T-CON) RUNTK4323TPZF.
To power the backlight LEDs, a converter is used, combined with a power supply, controlled by a PWM controller DDA003A, DDA002B.
The necessary supply voltages for all nodes of the PHILIPS 40PFL7605H TV are generated by the DPS-199DP power module or its analogs using ICE3BS3LJ, NCP1608B (PFC), DDA002B microcircuits.

If you go into the profession, you will obtain or have access to a variety of tech tips databases HERE IT IS Master Electronics Repair !.
These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.
While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution. In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.
