These are an excellent investment where the saying: 'time-is-money' rules. However, to learn, you need to develop a general troubleshooting approach - a logical, methodical, method of narrowing down the problem. A tech tip database might suggest: 'Replace C536' for a particular symptom. This is good advice for a specific problem on one model. However, what you really want to understand is why C536 was the cause and how to pinpoint the culprit in general even if you don't have a service manual or schematic and your tech tip database doesn't have an entry for your sick TV or VCR.

While schematics are nice, you won't always have them or be able to justify the purchase for a one-of repair. Therefore, in many cases, some reverse engineering will be necessary. The time will be well spent since even if you don't see another instance of the same model in your entire lifetime, you will have learned something in the process that can be applied to other equipment problems.
As always, when you get stuck, checking out a tech-tips database may quickly identify your problem and solution.In that case, you can greatly simplify your troubleshooting or at least confirm a diagnosis before ordering parts.

Samsung LCD TV – T’Con board faults – No display, Vertical line fault, Missing colors and more..

Samsung T’con Board: 260W2C4LV1.0 – No Display, Vertical line fault
LCD Panel: 26 inches
 Vcc input = 5V
* OP2 & OP3= EL5420CRE IC. If this IC failure, it will cause the TV No Display.
* ICT8= EL7581IREZ power management IC. If this IC fails, the TV will have No Display.
* ICT1= LRX4222T2. If this IC fails, the TV will have No Display or Full Screen of Vertical Lines/Bars.
* ICD1 SDRAM memory IC. If this IC failure, it will cause the TV No Display or Display Distortion problem.



Samsung T’con Board: 260W2C4LV1.6 – No display, Vertical line/Bar fault
LCD Panel: 26 inches
Vcc input= 5V
* D3 & D8 both are Diodes. If one of this component failure, it will cause the TV No Display.
* IC320= 7585A is a power management IC. If this IC fails, the TV will have No Display.
* ICT1= LRX4222T2. If this IC fails, the TV will have No Display, Display Distortion or Full Screen of Vertical Lines/Bars.
* ICD1= K4D263238F-UC50 SDRAM memory IC. If this IC fails, the TV will have No Display or Display Distortion problem.
 
 
 
Samsung T’con Board: 320W2C4LV1.4 – No display, Display distortion, color missing
LCD Panel: 32 inches
Vcc input= 5V
* OP1 & OP2= EL5420CRZ. If one of this IC fails, the TV will have No Display.
* ICT4= LRX4222T2. If this IC failure, it will cause the TV No Display, Display Distortion or Missing Color on the Screen.
* ICS1= K4D26238F-UC50 SDRAM memory IC. If this IC fails, the TV will have No Display or Display Distortion problem.
* ICP7= LM2700 power management IC. If this IC fails, the TV will have No Display.
Samsung T’con Board: 320W2C4LV6.4 – No display, abnormal display, display distortion, vertical lines/bars, white screen only
LCD Panel: 32 inches 
Vcc input= 5V
* ICT3 EEPROM memory IC. If this IC fails, the TV will have No Display or White Screen problem.
* ICT4= LRX4222T3. If this IC fails, the TV will have No Display, Display Distortion or Abnormal Display problem.
* ICD1 SDRAM memory IC. If this IC fails, the TV will have No Display or Full Screen of Vertical Lines/Bars.
* IC320= EL7585AIL power management IC. If this IC fails, the TV will have No Display.
